I love that PK clearly didn't catch the Tortoise and the Hare reference with Kwain and Archelos, yet rated the rabbit just below the turtle by complete accident

"Dargo is limited fodder" except that it can very easily be cast infinite times per turn with just a Phyrexian Altar. It's borderline cedh playable.
Yeah, run him with the dimir partner for tutors and artifact synergies up the wazoo. Or run him with Malcolm for ABSOLUTE COMBO BREAKERS!!!

Fun fact: Sakashima//Kodama is a legitimately competitive, Kamigawa-only commander pair that I am absolutely into.

Imo Dargo is super strong, in a rakdos/mardu/grixis-partner deck its almost all the time a 1 mana 7/5 trample
As long as you can sac three things before casting him, he stays mana neutral with Phyrexian Altar. Goes mana positive with something like Pitiless Plunderer. Infinite ETB and Sac triggers. Dude is sooo good in limited if you partner it with Keskit for the cost reduction and card advantage. Outside of limited, partner it with Tymna or Ikra Shidiqi.
@@whorcares123 You could also go mono-red and partner him with Jeska for that sweet infinite commander storm into infinite loyalty into -INF:three players lose the game ultimate.
Also, note that sacrificing fetchlands counts, and that sacrificing treasure effectively gives three mana towards casting him!
@@Gemini476 fetchlands don't count. Drago only counts creatures and artifacts.
Also goes infinite with food chain and such, right? Podding also seems like an option, this card is insane and Vince is blind
@@gabrielemarogna9444 Food Chain doesn't sacrifice, so you'd need a couple extra steps to do it, but it can probably happen.
Toggo quotes as flavor texts are some of my oldest mtg memories.

wyleth, soul of steel is missing, btw great video as always and yurlok and belbe are my favorite commander options by now form the set. the most interesting to build around for me. but there are many many cool legends in there.

The elemental lizard imo is a sleeper for Tron, maybe in the 99 but just imagine smacking someone for big damage with a geared up Tron commander for say 25, and then both other opponents take 25...thanks to a little cute AF lizard

Nevinyrral is just awsome, you can also sac him in resp to his own zombie making trigger to wrath the whole board and make like 15 zombies, imagine it being in a lead of esper aristocrats with sacrificing your whole board to phyrexian altar and casting Nev. Also great with faith's reward effects
You hated on the white partner that gives artifacts protection but it enables your splicer golem tribal deck. lol .

honetly i've tried it out and its unironically stupid in an enchantments deck.
He seriously underrated Malcolm, I think Malcolm is actually really good because it doesn't say combat damage and it makes treasure for each opponent dealt damage. There are some cool powerful synergies with it and some of the pirates but I think that it can stand on its own legs if you build around it.
The combo with Glint Horn Buccaneer has to push it into being actually good

Kwain (bunny boy) is from the same place as Y U NO Bant Turtle Boy. with some serious tortoise and hare vibes to their interaction.
I like the owl, mostly because it means even the most basic targeted kill spell for your commander now requires four mana.
Before watching: "Vince roasting random garbo legends. Love me some fried merfolk."
After watching: "Did not disappoint a bit." xD

All I've got for B on the Achelos is that B has traditionally had the "punish the tapped stuff" effects, especially against lands. It's a stretch, but it is within the pie. I think the B is tied into the U part of the card for the tapping manipulation, so I think this card is very much a gradient of effects versus something they just give keywords/abilities to represent the colors like Yarok or Samut.
My favorite thing about this set is the Commander I'm the second-most excited for is on your C-tier, while one of your God-tiers is in my C-tier. I love that the legends are so varied and unique that you and I can have such a wild difference in opinion and both are incredibly valid.
Honestly, I've been saying for years that I always wish I could make a commander deck based around sundial of the infinite. Obeka, Brute Chronologist will finally allow me to do that. I always wanted to run cards like "Last Chance" "Warrior's Oath" "Final Fortune" and "Glorious End." Heck you could even cheat a Phage, the Untouchable into play with this card and live to tell about it. I'm just upset that it is Grixis colors, I'd rather it not be a blue card because having access to blue kind of diminishes the gimmick of playing red extra turn spells. It does go infinite with a "Final" "Fortune" under an "Isochron Scepter" though, which is another combo I always wanted to pull off.
I feel like you're undervaluing Glacian in a stax shell. Helps break parity with Winter Orb effects and digs for your win condition. 6CMC is high, but he still seems good.

You should reconsider Rebbec. She can protect your golems in Ich-Tekik while giving you access to the white splicers!

Edit: Dargo is a one card combo with Phyrexian alter. it’s god tier cause it has partner. 1 shots with jeskas 0 and if you combo with it her x wins the game. Also it’s easy to get him out turn one. I heard a 1 mana 7/5 with trample is pretty good. When commander damage is 21. And the merfolk is insane too.

I think you have grossly underrated Araumi. I think we'll see that card elevated to A or god tier in the next few months.

Ramirez DePietro is one of my favorite callbacks! Ramirez DePietro was a legendary human pirate in Legends, illustrated by the one and only Phil Foglio. Unfortunately, Legends' idea of an impressive creature was a 4/3 first strike for 3BBU. At least this ghostly version might function better in my pirate EDH deck.
The card you forgot was Rograkh, Son of Rohgahh who for lore and flavor reasons alone is God Tier. He's the CMC 0 Kobold with Partner.
Great video, Radiant has really been shafted, even just adding vigilance like most angels get would have helped
Belbe I feel like I'm gonna use combined with Glisa to efficiently use her triggered ability efficiently each time it triggers and it really excited me when it was spoiled. It's gonna be really rad

The three commanders I'm building from this set are Jared, Nevinyrral, and Belbe. I think Belbe should be higher, and reasonably Jared should be lower cause of his power level, but he's just so cool.
Eligeth is insane! The amount of carddraw you get from scry abilities is huge! And with partner you can build your deck however makes u love it most - ive sucked the hope out of opponents multiple times already with this guy!! 5 mana draw 22? Yes please

Ich-Tekik is so powerful, he basically combos with a paper bag and some string. Unfortunately there aren't many playable golems, so it's hard to build him as splicer tribal :c
I just brewed Esior as partner to Ishai in a blue white flyers deck and it's decent. Ishai gets like 8+ counters per turn cycle and Esior (who often comes in costing just 1 blue mana) just protects his buddy from targeted removal. Was suprised you put it in garbage, it has its uses.

Araumi is top tier. One of the best commanders for limited this set for sure. Talk about ETB triggers and dies triggers out the wazoo. I'll get my ETB trigger then sac the creature and cast 3 copies of it again the same turn. Same for Dies triggers. Yes Please
You're sleeping on Drago. A 3 strike kill with commander damage that can drop on t1. Great build around, and you can chuck a partner with it. The red walker from this set for trip damage. Single hit!
You missed the best part about Toggo, he's a callback to the original lightning bolt Flavor text. He's the goblin who invented lightning bolt.

That Giant Pirate which costs 2 less for each sacrificed stuff before during the turn (2 mana being the commander tax) has some serious combo potential. Not a limited fodder :P

Also Araumi is nutty strong with stuff like Gary, or other such cards with powerful ETB/LTB/Death triggers.
My curtains have more volume than the Barons dress.
Even though I likely won't use it, I will say that Lathiel would be pretty good for a life gain deck, and could seriously buff up its creatures to swing. Seems like it would be dangerous as it may likely fly under the radar in a game

id say a 3 and two mana sorcery or two that youd use in voltron is not a bad thing for the command zone as far as casual goes. i mean i guess its more interactable since its a creature and planeswalker but

Vince, you can simply type "t=legendary" and "t=wolf" in the search bar instead of going through the advanced search
I have admit; I didn't expect people not to know what 'revue' or 'itinerant' meant. I guess it's a bit of a culture thing. Revues are primarily associated with self-made school productions or circus/carnival type parody side skits. Itinerant is more associated with occupations (like preacher or nurse) that service a large rural area and thus are only available at one particular place for a limited amount of time. Being itinerant is a bit between being a wanderer and seasonal worker. There's a definite circuit going on, but it's not necessarily exact on the calendar, since it's more expected that situations can cause a switch in schedule.

IDK if anyone's mentioned this, but Dargo is actually a ridiculous combo commander, since his reduction persists through the whole turn, you can just keep sacking him to pay for his own commander tax. Basically, if you can net 1R for it, it'll go infinite ez.

Personally, I think she's perfect for any deck that even remotely wants to hit with a commander, considering that she can take a 7 power commander and cause it to one shot opponents, and all for 3 mana. S tier commander? Probably not. Auto-include in most red decks? We can talk. Either way, I've been waiting for her since she was spoiled last year by Mr. Gavin Verhey on the Command Zone!
