both has pros and cons. barone is powerful and surely brings the energy up a notch in live performance. but hideki is controlled, precise, and masterful. so it depends on the song, the more "western" song is definitely more suitable to be played by barone (like BMC, and many of the songs from TOO album) where there's not many high paced song, but powerful beat brings more impact. however, the more "eastern" song like megitsune, road of resistance, arkadia, IDZ played by hideki just hits different. he doesn't miss/skip a beat at all, and yet the song also don't require a very heavy beating on the drums. barone is like this heavy warrior/barbarian while hideki is like an archer/ranger, analogically BM is privileged to have both to support them, altho we definitely won't be able to enjoy the best songs played live. but that's why these fancams, proshots are around to give us a glimpse of what they're best at.
Ehh, not sure I agree with this assessment but fair enough. Barone is as technically proficient as they come. How work with Beneath the Massacre and Shadow of Intent is a testament to that.
Uhm... Anthony barone not prcise and masterful? Dude played in shadow of intent and many more extreme metal bands, he's as technically proficient as they come. Playing Babymetal is easy for him.

I would love to see both live! Really excited that I get to see Barone this year. You're right, BM is extremely lucky to have support from both.

Both are great drummers, no doubt. But Barone is more technically proficient and brings a heaviness to BM, which is lacking with Hideki.
