I refrigerate my onions prior to cutting and I store my half cut onions in a ziplock bag in my fridge... Doesn’t go bad quickly... At all.
So ya, what’s it mean if you’re ok after ingesting it? You have an eel iron stomach? I knew it was bad. That’s what I get for ordering from Walmart.

what about the whole cutting and onion and sitting it in the middle of the room to absorb the stuff in the air? if it absorbs toxins in the air, it could then be toxic..

Yes I literally went to the hospital because I ate pork withthe next day and my full face swelled up and got so deformed that I can only tell people to be very careful and it's better to take precautions then to eliminate something that could cause you to die
