Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis has said the contract for Dharavi redevelopment will be "taken back" from the Adani group if it fails to follow instructions of the state government. Speaking at India Today Mumbai conclave, he refuted opposition allegations and said the tender was given to the Adani group as it was the highest bidder. "Adani group will have to do whatever the government wants. If they do not do it, we will take back the contract from them," said Fadnavis, who was state housing minister when billionaire Gautam Adani's group won the bid for redeveloping Dharavi, one of the world's densest urban sprawls. Fadnavis also accused the previous Uddhav Thackeray-led MVA government of giving the Adani group unlimited Transferable Development Rights (TDR) and said it was the current BJP-NCP government in the state which had capped the figure. “This omission would have granted the redeveloping entity in Dharavi unrestricted authority to stockpile these rights and realise excessive profits through their sale to other real estate developers in the city”, Fadnavis alleged.

Because of the Dharavi project by Adani, all developers of Mumbai will have to buy 40% of premium TDR from Adani @ of 90% of RR rate compulsorily, to be utilised in other Developement projects by builders everywhere. Instead of the TDR that is being bought @ the rate of 50% RR rate from BMC. This is not being told by Fadnavis. Misleading the audience. Even the Marathi anchor is not aware & not asking the right questions. Suresh Prabhu should have been there to challenge Fadu.
At least Fadanavis capped the RR rate at 90% compulsory. UT had put no cap in plan during his government. So you crying about 50% difference right now would have kept quite when Adani would gave asked for 200% RR rate? Suresh Prabhu should challenge UT on this.
