I have some additional thoughts. - Automatic wipers are horrible in some cases. It's the same like in a Tesla.🤓 - Seats quality. Easy to scratch them. - Adaptive cruise control not available for this model for some reason. + software updates frequently (in every quarter) + hyundai bluelink application BTW: I really love my i30N hatcback and these are just minor things I think🙂
Adaptief cruiscontrol is the most annoying thing on the road ever. Its for lazy drivers and there is a lot more traffic jams because of that. I am so happy it doesnt have this. Its a hot hatch Its not a lazy granny saloon....
Very good review! I own the i30N DCT hatch back. Here in Rome the roads and traffic are terrible. The Netherlands look so clean and tidy in comparison to Italy 😅. Each morning I have a 5km trip to my daughters school and my fuel consumption is 19l/100km in eco mode😱. Lately I’m using the car just when I want to have some fun, bought a used city car for the daily traffic situations
Thank you very much. Yes, the fuel Consumption is really insane in a city where you have to accelarate a Lot. Good choice that you purchased a used City Car.
Great review !!! Finaly someone speak about sound system aswell like 6 months back when i had the chance to try it before order i did not tried audio system at all and after several topics on Google i was so afraid about the quality of sound system because many ppl says pre face version has terible sound so happy to hear that in new model is much more better :) Btw Your english is perfect !:)
I "downgraded" from a 2018 Civic Type R to a i20n. Thought about getting an i30 Fastback but went for the i20 after test driving both. Digital dash, manual gearbox and fuel consumption (5-6l is easily possible) did it for me.
I have i30n performance fastback, facelift version, so same as you. I fully agree on the fuel consuption. It's ridiculous! I like to drive dynamically and at times my average reaches 18 liters per 100 km. Once I'm off the warranty period I'm definately going to have it remapped, maybe this will solve the issue a bit. I'd also like to add one more flaw I've noticed. Roads in the Netherlands are most likely much better then in Poland, so it's probably a non-issue for you. Imagine my surprise when I went to change my tires and the guys at tyre shop told me that 3 rims (both at front and one on the back) are bent. Significanlty. After 7 months of driving. I thought to myself - ok, let's get them straighten up and put a new bronze/copper colour on them while we're at it. Got it back, drove like 200 km and hit ONE pothole. Now two rims are bent again (front left and rear left). It was at 40-50 km/h so not a very fast and the pothole, while noticable wasn't anything special. I've only noticed something was wrong because the car started to act strange at 120 km/h and above - vibrations, drifting to the side, etc. Mind you that I'm running the tires at 2.9 (front) and 2.8 (back) bars which is at the top of the recommended values and should provide enough cushion. I'm honestly thinking about switching to wider and fatter tires but need to save some money for wider (and maybe sturdier) rims.
Thats why i dont understand the reason to have 35 profil tyres and 19" wheels.better 55 profil and 17".This way dont you have to fix your wheels every time because it absorbs
I recently got pre facelift Fastback from 2019. Fuel consumption in the city is around 12 l/100km. Shortly after I bought it I did a long (~1500 km) trip for 2 days. Consumption was 7.73 l/100km. So not great, not terrible I guess :)
For long distance drives its good in my experience. In the city however, it takes a lot of fuel. But thats not the reason to buy this car :) have fun with yours

I see some owners annoyed with some of the many security options: start-stop, lane assist in city, forward collision assist, etc. Even talking about forward collision being "dangerous", slamming on the brakes unexpectedly. What kind of setup do you use, did you disable any car feature? Or do you disable something in town and re-enable on long trips/highways? Thanks.
What annoys me is that you have to turn Off the start-stop after every new start of the Car. The other Security Options arent really annoying. In N Mode Most of them are disabled anyways.
