I came here because my grandmother taught me this song when I was 6 yrs. old. She taught me this song when she saw me throwing rocks to a bird. She said that bird could be a mom looking for food for her babies. When she taught me this song I cried.. I miss my Lola and her songs and stories 😢

I remember this song. My mom taught me this. She's a teacher. Although the hymn and melody is clearly really great, you can't just ignore how the lyrics can move you. As a kid, I see the bird as my mom and the baby bird as me and I can't help but be sentimental about it. I love my mom so much, so when the mother bird got hit, I can relate to the pain the baby bird's feeling.

You'll never know kung kailan at kung pa-paano mawawala sayo yung mga mahal mo sa buhay, kaya habang nandiyan pa sila, i-paramdam mo sa kanila na mahalaga sila sayo. And for those na walang puso, na kayang kumitil ng buhay para sa pansariling kariwasaan, tulad nitong mamang pumukol ng bato sa ina nung pipit, sana inusig siya ng konsensya nya at dalhin nya yon habang buhay.
Alam nyo kung bakit mas nagiging malungkot itong kanta na ito?
