Si Pilemon ay isang awiting bayan na ang kahulugan nito ay ang payak na kabuhayan ng isang mangingisda sa Pilipinas. Sinasalamin nito na ang kahirapang pinagdadaanan ng isang taong nakadepende sa dagat upang mamuhay. Hindi kontrolado ng mga mangingisda kung anong klaseng lamang-dagat ang maibigay ng karagatan sa kanya. Hindi biro ang isang pangingisda dahil lubos na nakaasa ito sa lagay ng panahon. Ipinapahayag din ng damdamin ng kanta na talagang mahirap kumita ng pera kung gayon, dapat gamitin mo ito sa tama.
