  • 250g vermicelli
    25g sultans
    1/2 cup sugar
    1 cup full cream
    milk
    150g cream
    1 tbs coconut dust
    100g Rama butter
    Few cloves and cinnamon

    This is a traditional timeless classic. The methods used are the exact same as when my late mum made this beautiful recipe. I make mine the same bar the raisins, I just have this thing about fruit in hot desserts however, what a recipe and what a beautiful execution. Ma has done our traditions proud with this. Looking at most of these clips invokes so much sentiment as I cannot enjoy most of these delicacies lately as I have Cancer yet..these clips take you back to when life was good and cooking was an occasion more than a chore. Maybe one day I will be blessed enough to not just execute these dishes but enjoy them too, InshAllah. My next question would be to every viewer, why not garner support for these type of channels that are flagships to our traditional and unique cooking methods. A channel like this should have a million subscribers as its an underlying foundation to everything we know in traditional authentic South African Indian cuisine. We cannot lose these experiences, we shouldnt allow our beautiful methods an untimely death, this is our DNA right here and it should be treasured and preserved. Corporate South Africa should be investing in these channels as its an example of our rich heritage. Ma...keep our cooking methods sacred and alive through your clips, keep this lovely channel alive by uploading our examples of our traditional classics.     Thank you for sharing. Please tell me how much butter did you use? First you braised vermicelli with 50g butter and thereafter did you use the entire 100g of butter? Stay blessed

      You welcome..no after you braise it you don't use butter again
