Boss Rush?? How did you do that? Cheat doesn't exist! I did beat it many times though.
there's no boss rush in this game. I just edit it on movie maker by using a screenshot of game and edit some text using ms paint making it looks like there's a boss rush. in short, for cosmetic purposes only.

Kind of wish Shogun had been used in other iterations of TMNT. Such a cool character.
Funny how once you know to exploit jump kicking Tora the polar bear goes from being insanely tough to one of the easiest bosses in the game.
I found that out by mistake..had 1 hp left and paniced so i kept doin it screamin "oh god oh god oh god" from that point on hes a total push over...also if u use ralph when u fight beebop if u attack just his gun he will stay stuck and u can beat him without u or him movin..good times

Crazy Japanese just had to make up their own boss characters for the NES exclusive stages.
Ugh, I hated fighting Krang. Just. Would. Not. Go. DOWN! Such a time consuming fight.
What made Krang sooo tough is that there was no clear cut way of beating him. You gonna lose a life when fighting him. Jump kicks are your best bet but again, no clear cut way.
I found him harder than even the final boss and he had a way to take you out in one hit.
The Shogun boss reminds me of enemies in the first TMNT NES game where after you hit them and they vanish, their pink heads come flying all over.

This is one of the best games ever made. My only issue is:
1. The villains, in my opinion should have health meters.
2. Rocksteady, bebop,tora, tragg, granite(?) And Baxter(fly) should not blow up. They are not robots.
Minor details. Great game tho
+J Connor It's a great game, but it's definitely flawed as well. I don't think anyone likes playing a game where anything but a jump kick is going to get you killed. That always bothered me about these games

The bosses do have health metres... did you not notice them flashing red when they got close to zero? It technically IS a metre even if we don't see - young me had some VERY tense boss fights when I was close to losing my last life... but got a second wind when I FINALLY saw the boss flash! :) I love this game! One of the best for the NES!

Your comment is 6 years old. Almost none of those bosses blew up. The rock soldiers from Dimension X very well could've killed themselves in shame by blowing themselves up.
Tora and Shogun should be in more "TMNT" media. Definitely, on the 1987 tv series. As well as, all the minions you face in this game. No, people I'm not talking about the Pixar characters. I mean, Robot Walkers, Mousers, Blade, Venom, and the mini boss Vincent Van Growl, etc.
Lol, it is pretty funny that fly baxter stockman uses a fly swatter to attack you.

You would think that, since you already killed Rocksteady and Bebop, that you wouldn't have to face them again, huh? But the arcade game makes you face them again, 2 on 1. The NES instead has you face Baxter the Fly, which I guess makes sense if you consider that you defeated Human Baxter and caused him to flee his Mousers.

Dude, I was cheering SO HARD when you locked Tora into a pattern at 4:15 he couldn't break out of - I totally thought had him cornered but you lost your rhythm a bit lol. It was so awesome when you stumble into a way to lock a boss into an unbreakable pattern that pretty much corners him.
9:34 is General Tragg at 6:56 is the Stone Soldier he was Tragg's Partner in the Cartoon Series in Krang's Dimension X Army.
Granitor the Blue stone Warrior boss was General Traggs partner

Tora was my favorite enemy unless my friend Ray Fillet and I defeated him, Tiger Claw, Armaggon, even Dirtbag, so there were my famous four favorite enemies, Tora, Tiger Claw, Armaggon, even Dirtbag. My friend Ray Fillet and I defeated Armaggon, Dirtbag, Tiger Claw and Tora and saved the world, so I hoped you enjoyed those classic video games, all right? Jimmy Kielbasa out.
The only way to beat these bosses is to change depth in battle (up down). Otherwise, you get kicked in the butt really bad.
Jump kick was OP in this version. It’s like a homing missle.
The order of bosses is: Rocksteady, Bebop, Baxter (normal), Tora, Baxter (mutant fly), Granitor, Shogun, General Traag, Kraang, Shredder. I figured this video would show you, but I wanted everyone to know the names.

At 5:11, I remember when I played this game in the arcade, instead of Baxter the Fly, it had Bebop and Rocksteady for you to fight again which confused me why they were back after you defeat them in the first two levels. The only reason they had Baxter the fly on this NES game instead of fighting Bebop and Rocksteady again was because, they didn't want it to be too hard on the NES game than it is in the arcade.
They had to replace the Rocksteady+Bebop fight due to hardware limitations. The NES wasn't capable of displaying that many large sprites at once.
It might have been possible later in the NES's life when better mapper chips and coding techniques were available, but not at the time TMNT 2 was released.

The moment you realize you only half completed this game in 2 player mode... Game was hard, but so awesome at the same time. So many good memories

One thing I forgot to do while playing this game is to try take out as many Mousers as possible while fighting the human Stockman boss at 2:35, that way I would maximize points and get closer to earning an extra life later on.
+Andy Szwejda The only thing that confused me about this game is that, after you defeat Baxter Stockman as a human, it confuses me how he comes back to life as the fly even though he was both a human and a fly on the cartoon series.
@@afriendofbean Shredder probably mutated him as punishment for his failure.
@@deezy81 Well, on the cartoon series Shredder did try to kill him for his failure in trying to kill the turtles where Shredder put him in a machine that was meant to kill Baxter. However, a fly flew into the machine and instead of killing Baxter, the machine killed the fly and then Baxter turned into the fly. For here on the cartoon, you defeat Baxter as a human in the sewer but then on the street, he was back as the fly being unknown as to why he was back to life when he was already defeated as a human. However, this NES game was an arcade game and in the scene where you fight Baxter the fly, was the scene where you fight Rocksteady and Bebop a second time even though you defeat them on the first two levels. But on the NES game, they put Baxter the fly instead of fighting Rocksteady and Bebop just to prevent it from being too hard on the player since they're both hard to fight when you fight them separately (Rocksteady on the first level, Bebop on the second level) and they didn't want it to be harder fighting them together.
I have to say when I first saw this I didn't even know this game HAD a boss rush. Though I'm wondering if this was a code since I beat the game with all 4 turtles and I still don't see a boss rush option on the title screen. Maybe I did it in the wrong order? Either way great job!

cool video! I remember I used to love Ninja Turtles alot! I used to watch it nonstop to the point of knowing the lines and the song haha ah the memories but now my ninja show is Naruto I like that soo much.

Are you serious, tool? He's difficult, but not even close to as hard as General Tragg..or Shogun for that matter..
Honestly I would say it is a toss up between Krang and Shredder. Shogun is the hardest of all the level bosses. General Tragg is in my opinion on the same level as Granitor, and might even be easier because he has to reload. The only thing that makes Tragg hard is the right wall. I beat this game when I was 8
That would be Granitor General Traggs right hand man and other boss of the Stone warriors in game and from the classic cartoon.
For some odd reason I used to like fighting the Stone Worriers & Krang. I never understood how April & Splinter untie themselves LOL

How come you used jump kick mostly?
Cause it's the best way to hit the bosses without being hit yourself.
It seems cheap, but it's damn near impossible to avoid damage any other way.
And the jump kick is stronger than the special attack
@@ipitithefool7829 It is not. Strike is two hit points, kick is three hit points, special attack is four hit points.
