Very nice up. I brought mine for £1800 two months ago, a move up! 75k miles, 2014 plate. I love it, a few common issues with them, but still a good car for what it is. I didn’t bother with the satnav, I brought a phone holder from the newer ups and brought a part of eBay to fit it. Never done me wrong and I much prefer having my phone on there for maps etc
Nice one YC. No 6th gear required on such a small engine, it's already a very economical unit. Also, it's deceptively spacious on the inside, much like the Tardis! You can get 5-up no probs, although 4-up is the most comfortable option. And let's not forget that the Volkswagen up! achieved the two TOP global automotive awards when it was launched in 2012 - World Car of the Year, and European Car of the Year - beating off a lot of competition from all manufacturers. Not too shabby! All the best mate.
Cheers Pete, it really is a very good and reliable car. Stylish on a tight budget! I think a 6the gear will be beneficial as it is essentially an overdrive gear which would be good to have! Right said Pete! It deserves the global car of the year though it didnt save Clarkson from the Chernobyl radiation 😂
5th gear is already very high. You would get max speed in 4th rather than 5th so 5th is like an overdrive and gives ridiculous mpg if used - I've had over 70mpg from mine in the summer on a 50+ mile journey
I'd be happy to drive that without bothering with the dents. New tyres, 2nd hand sat nav unit, 2nd boot floor (you've got the brackets for it). I find the parcel shelf annoying but you can rig up a string with a shoelace and a bulldog clip. Uprated headlight bulbs make a difference too.
I can feel your pain through the screen! My trick with the parcel shelf is to keep a pillow in the car. When I forgot to pull it down when I shut the boot, I just hit it with the pillow! Works like a treat EVERY TIME! LOL
I've gone on to buying my third UP to flip now. My first one was a Take up then a High UP which I sold recently and made big profit on that. Yesterday I went to view another High UP and put a deposit down on it. All non cat damaged and bought around £3k. The High UPs you can sell for around £4k giving it's got service history, paperwork, service. Will have to do the cambelt as it hasn't been done. I also wouldn't worry about the navigon screen as my High UP I sold without it after being advertised for 2 days on autotrader
Got a Seat Mii Itech 2016 reg for £1950....should have cost £5350...guy had emergency sell for some reason...he was abroad and I said "I could take away the hassle of him constantly calling his family to help sell the car" you could tell it really inconvenience his brother

No way I got my high up last year 56k miles only needed wheel bearing doing bought it for 2k never thought it was probably the 2nd cheapest in Britain and mine is a 5 door last of the 13 and first of the 14 plate as well
You bought it cheap! Was it a cat D/N as well? Solid car, it's definitely a car I would buy again! What happened to the wheel bearing? I had to change my rear one on my Fiat Panda!
@@CheekyCultured none of them it hasn't been in an accident,we asked the previous owner why it was cheap as most high ups I looked at was going for between 3 and 6k,he said he just needed it gone and the wheel bearing was on its way out but considering the car was only 2 thousand and wheel bearing max 200 it was worth it
@@kingbeast2385 Well I've given it a lot of care and did my best to make it solid! No advisory too! 😂 They must have pushed it to 78k and the mot person screwed it up
