Right on Steve, I've been waiting for this re-build for a long time! I never thought I'd be a rat rod guy....... .until you went and put a 12 valve in one, you sunk that hook deep man. Keep the videos comin sir, especially the oil burner shenanigans
I've seen people drill a second dowel pin on the opposite side. But welding it seems like a better solution. Thanks for the tip!

Always use never seize with stainless bolts stops them binding the thread. 👍

Ulra black is the only way to go in my opinion and its definately better than a gasket on a lot of applications.

Does tigging the gear on throw out the balance at all or is it too minimal to worry about?
Wish I had a welder maybe one of these days I got a old 95 with the low power 6.5 turbo diesel it’s good on fuel but wouldn’t take to the races if I had the money I’d put a Cummings in my Chevy but I’m 61 and the budget is not there I got to put some gaskets on my old diesel today thers a ton of oil down the side of motor I’m putting a used motor in and if I had the money I’d rebuild but it works good for what it is wish so bad I had the money to do a Cummins swap oh well you do some awesome stuff must be nice to have all the stuff at hand but you worked for it good video miss your show I don’t like the street outlaws it’s a soap I like good ole Nhra racing
What size sticks are you running?
Just curious. But wouldn't welding on there throw it off balance? Or are the welds not big enough to worry about that?
What rear end and front end is in the D-rod? Thanks
Where do you get your motors from?
Stainless bolts - when will people learn...? Sure, they look real pretty, but between the head deformation and thread galling they are a PITA. Add to that the misconceptions about stainless grading and anti-corrosion makes for real fun times trying to work on vehicles that have had them added.
just another guy add a little anti seize compound and you’ll be just fine with properly torqued stainless bolts

Why did you choose the TH400 over say the 727 torqueflight just out of curiosity for my build 🤔. Chris-Michigan
Hi Chris, I have had better luck with the TH400. I think it is just a matter of preference.

i got 5 cars and 3 pickup to make some cool rides. but its TO DAM HOT > i can't work on em sweat pour down in my eyes 1st is a 85 ram got a 318 going to HEMI in it got a 89 FORD 4x4 pickup going to put it under a 85 ford E250 cargo van They measure up PREFECT
