OMG!!! My other fave Korean-Western couple! I'm so sorry for your loss, Raye. I know what your mother meant to you. Hope you and Jin are doing OK. So head out East then. Cape Breton Island is the place to see in Nova Scotia. I have been on the Cabot Trail that you see there. Kinda tricky driving, but even big tour buses and RVs go over it.
I'm on mainland Nova Scotia between River John and a place called Tatamagouche. Come see the East Coast!

Many years ago my college geography teacher taught us that when driving the Cabot trail it is best to go counter clockwise for a better view. When I visited with a friend we drove both directions and sure enough her recommendation was correct. The Cabot Trail was one of the highlights of NS for me.

Also for all the South Koreans, South Korea is 1% the landmass of Canada. "Canada is approximately 9,984,670 sq km, while South Korea is approximately 99,720 sq km, making South Korea 1.0% the size of Canada" But South Korea's population is 14 million more than Canada. I had never even heard of them, then after that trip didn't see them for years, then one year I randomly found travel sizes at a gas station in California. For a while they carried them at my grocery store + walmart in Arizona, but for whatever reason both stopped carrying them. I miss that chip, plus the odd flavoring of Ketchup chips. From what I've heard, at one point All Dressed were pretty common in the likes of the Kentucky area of the country.

As for the chips, I’ve never seen them in Nevada, though to be fair I’m just a pretty hard core Ruffles girl so I could have just missed seeing them.
About Nova Scotia, my husband and I went on a cruise north out of Liberty Harbor right next to New York in the fall of 2019 right before Covid hit. We loved Nova Scotia as well as PEI. This video just reinforced that. We even looked into the emigration rules but unfortunately we’re too old. May just have to settle for Maine and take lots of road trips!

Now she lives here on the mainland near River John, NS. Lots of Yankees come over on trips.

PROTIP: We did the Cabot Trail with another couple using two cars. We used our cellphone unlimited calling feature a lot. We had each other on speeddial and would call one another if we were stopping, or turning, or saw a moose or really for any reason. Sometimes we would leave the phone on speakerphone and just talk for 5 or 10 minutes. Unlimited calling is a "free" and very usefull feature
