6 years is the longest GA has ever gone between coasters. The 90s saw Iron Wolf (1990), Batman:The Ride (1992), Viper (1995), and Raging Bull (1999) with Giant Drop as a thrill ride addition to bridge the gap between Bull and Viper in 1997.

There were 2 things confirmed from the press conference for this ride. 1. There will be a lot more theming than what was shown, they are currently working with a designer for theming for the ride and a revamp for that area. There was intentionally a lack of theming in the animation for that reason, they’re planning to go all out. 2. The ride will have pass-through lockers before you board, since the ride is going over the pathways. As far as the level of forces on the helix goes just take a look at how thick the spine is in one of the shots and how tight that radius is. I think that’s enough for me to believe it won’t be a dud
Personally, my first priority with this park would've been to update both their kids areas, refresh the Mardi Gras area with some new rides, and add a Funtime Star Flyer where the old Sky Trail ropes course used to sit. Perhaps that will be next.
So stoked to have this coming to my home park. If it’s smooth (sad to say that’s an “if” for a B&M), I think it may turn out to be the best dive. The drop should be great, the layout has good substance, and I LOVE the fact that there’s no MCBR.
I’m glad to hear that the newer vests are less restrictive- I groaned at the thought of more X-flight like vests. I HATE those vests and they severely hurt what used to be my favorite ride in the park. As a kid they were fine since i was much smaller than them, now I can’t stand ‘em.
SFGAm is my home park, and they’ve had heavy equipment doing active work in the Buccaneer Battle area as recently as this past weekend. So I hope they’re on top the construction timeline!
How to ride with a B&M vest restraint: 1) Make yourself big to get some room when the ride op checks your restraint 2) Ride consciously, and hold the restraint out, and off of you so it does not come down on you during positive G moments like the valleys 3) Enjoy your ride, and being able to breathe on the brake run. I never have issues riding any B&M with vest restraints, and theres 2 of them at my home park. Just get yourself some room, and youll be good.
@@First-Drop-Studios Banshee, Valravn, and Gatekeeper are all about the same. As long as you get, and keep yourself some room, you'll have a good ride. You can even get airtime on Gatekeepers camelback. The best part is being able to breathe on the brake run.
How would you compare Wrath to Rakshasa to Viper, Demon, and Raging Bull, also at Six Flags Great America, in terms of forces, pacing, smoothness, and capacity?
when you said it has the same restraints as X-Flight i almost lost my mind. oh my god. that is the only rollercoaster i refuse to ride because the restraints have me in a panic-attack by the time the train reaches the brake run, omg. I will have to give it a test run, hopefully it’s just an X-Flight problem!
Per eyewitness testimony, the midway between Lobster and X-Flight is already walled off, and Demon likely won’t operate for the rest of the season. I think they’re serious about getting this ride up quick. Buccaneer Battle is also fully demolished at this point. From the press conference already linked elsewhere, they intend on a late spring or early summer opening. Needless to say, I’m hyped for this.
I bought my season pass today. I’m looking forward to going more often now that I own a car. I only got to go once this summer, and maybe once more for Fright Fest if I can finalize plans with my best friend.
@@hyperchronicxlc This is correct! My first visit to SFGAm was back in 2022 and I’ve been every year since. I’ve always loved Raging Bull and thought it was underrated, but it was my #3 at the park (behind Maxx Force at #2 and Goliath at #1) and 4th out of the 6 B&M Hypers I’ve done at the time (the others are Diamondback, Mako, Candymonium, Intimidator, and Apollo’s Chariot). I don't have plans to make an analaysis video for that one. It is already open. So the next video I make about it will be a review, but I probably won't be riding it this year.
I went to Canada's Wonderland yesterday and rode Behemoth 4 times: 3 with my dad and once by myself. The first ride was 2nd to the back, with no rattle. The second ride was at the very front, again with no rattle. When I did the ride by myself, I was in the middle of the train, and I noticed the rattle on the three airtime hills between the hammerhead turn and the midcourse brake run.

I mean that would make people from everywhere want to go to Ga. Oh well 😅
Yeah, it is. As someone who rides that more than any other coaster (over 50x in a day sometimes), I can tell you that the only time the original Batman shows its age is on zen rides. Other than that, it runs great!

I think this will be the best dive coaster. Long layout, good variety of elements, no mcbr, definitely a solid addition for the park.

I hope one day a park gets a Dive Coaster with a 100 Degree Drop that would be great
