Brilliant artist! Any of his roles arouses interest and fascinates. And to all this he has enormous personal charm.

Oh, man, that scene with Castillo and Tubbs by the river is one of the best scenes ever in Miami Vice. Castillo was a total badass.

Castillo was such a great contrast to Crockett and Tubbs. They also ran hot, he always ran cool.

One of his most underrated roles was in the 1981 horror film wolfen as Eddie he gave a very creepy and convincing performance and his scenes with the legendary Albert Finney was fantastic

What an interesting and thoughtful interview. What he had to say about representation and immigration - I am inclined to think he is right. Thanks.

No disrespect but he’s the perfect bad guy because of his face, l am writing a movie script with a bad guy but maybe he’s too old now. But in Hollywood they can make him look younger. I’m surprised he didn’t do a lot of bad guy characters but as he said he rejected those characters.

I love him but he forgot to mention Freddie Prinze Jr. He was a trailblazer as well

About Miami Vice, he is wrong. They needed a Latino police boss, because thats the reality in Miami, cause the Cuban have always had mayor positions there, as well as businesses etc.
So, Miami is different than L.A. Different latinos

I still haven't ruled out the possibility that Edward James Olmos is affiliated with NXIVM. Time will tell.

White people should also have the same race consciousness as Edward Olmos
