Hey Bill like you said next time pull the eggs out, I had to do this same thing with my marble vieja, They ate their first batch of eggs so I pulled the second batch now I have wigglers in a 15 gallon. Good luck
bill i never grow tired of watching cichlids spawning either🙂they will go again, my recent spawn with the wild type betta had a downfall as well, my fault i fed the female and the male was hungry as well, found out i cant feed once they spawn. we all have our ups and downs , learning as we go
