@@gman7329 Its strange you say that, you must be quite talented and reputable in the rap game indeed, because Eminem is the most respected and widely regarded as the beat rapper of all time. Do you know who feels this way? Almost every rapper. Drake, 50, jay-z, Joyner, royce, kendrick, snoop, Dre, and enough rappers to make a list 5 times as long have called him the best rapper alive. He is also the most successful rapper of all time, and numbers don't lie. Almost twice as successful as the second most successful, who I believe is Drake.
The comparison originally made was because the most successful and respected rappers in the world all know not to mess with Shady. "You don't fuck with the white boy" is the phrase that goes around. Because he comes back at you forever until you wish you had never said anything.
I assume you disagree with every rapper worth his salt because you're more into mumble rap. And there's nothing wrong with that. But if you feel differently than the literal experts, you gotta understand you're in the minority

His joke about Felicity making his license plate was a dig on this scandal & her doing time for it. Her husband, William H. Macy, is a huge actor (Having starred in Fargo & other films). LOVE Ricky! When he's on a podcast or radio show, he genuinely wants to know more about the people he's speaking to and let them tell stories, rather than talk about himself. He loves to interact with people. I bet that's why he rightfully hates the vapidness of most 'stars'. He's Brilliant and fearless.

@@Danno_GK The shock is simply that they can't believe someone is airing their dirty laundry like this considering every time something like this comes up in the media (Hollywood and adrenochrome as an example), it's talked about for a few days then...magically disappears. Yet here's Gervais saying it on TV, on recorded video. Considering this didn't get more traction then it did...just shows you how quickly these things can get covered up. I don't think a lot of people really understand what Gervais did...and it's a goddamn miracle the man didn't "mysteriously turn up dead a few days later".

Can't call it shock when it's true. He's not saying this for shock value (The Judy Dench one was), he's calling out the BS we all know is true.

Ricky Gervais wrote the origional THE OFFICE and stared in it. The Steve Carell is the Smerican version. He also wrote Afterlife which is a Netflix series and much more enjoyable than its subject matter suggests and Ricky Gervais' won BEST COMEDY. He has won many other awards for his acting, writing and stand up.

With so many streaming shows, the demand for actors is high, so you have the opportunity to become world famous now more than ever, but at low return due to the lacking blockbuster status.
The biggest stars, and you'll see this on review channels here, are producers, directors, composers, SFX management, concept artists...All the iron and concrete that make the film work well enough for actors to be known in the first place, all getting real shoutouts more than ever.

Ricky Gervais is a masterclass in ripping those who should be ripped. The part about not knowing anything about the real world is SPOT ON. A+ Ricky, A+... TBH, I'd watch the Golden Globes if he hosted it every year. This is the only part actually worth watching.
