A very interesting cheating story with delightful characters n plot. I love the conclusion n agree with the reconciliation between Chad and Lily. Brilliant!
In my opinion this is a completely crap story. It pushes an agenda of reconciliation for infidelity and clouds the circumstances of the plot line to push the agenda. (And there seems to be A LOT of stories with this theme in them all of a sudden here on TH-cam.) Practical warning: I'm not gonna write a synopsis of the entire story which would make this comment too long; you'll need to have listened to the story for my comments to make any sense. As a quick reminder, the husband forgives his wife, Lily, due to pity because of the acid attack and because her judgment may have been impaired by hypothesized date grape chemicals. Well, none of that crap adds up. Firstly, Lily's behavior was highly suspect BEFORE the dénouement at the hotel. A lot of never-explained extra mileage on her car, many luncheon dates at a hotel with her boss that she never mentions to her trusting husband and lots of expensive new clothes ALSO never explained to her husband. In fact, her husband is in position to intercept her active infidelity at the hotel when it happens BECAUSE of the other evidence he discovered prior to the hotel incident. The only evidence we ever get that there COULD be date grape chemicals involved in the hotel multi-person tryst is that the suspicious boss handled the drinks at one point (captured in the video) but we are never told we actually SAW him putting anything into the drinks nor was there any chemical analysis of glasses or blood anywhere. It is even commented that Lily appeared to be enthusiastically participating in the tryst. While some date grape chemicals can reduce inhibitions and MIGHT account for Lily's behavior, and could even account for some memory loss, there are a bunch of OTHER symptoms that DIDN'T occur which WOULD have occurred in the presence of date grape chemicals. And if Lilly HAD been exposed to such chemicals, NO WAY would she have been able to drive until the next day and wouldn't have appeared pretty much right as rain later that evening when she returned home. There would've been nausea and disorientation and lost time and biological material deposited you know where and all sorts of other evidence that collectively would have caused her to scream bloody murder either to the authorities or to her own husband. And none of that happened. It's reasonable to feel bad for Lily for having acid thrown in her face; she certainly didn't deserve that and some kindness from her ex-husband who could afford the plastic surgery would've been a nice gesture. But Lily is either the stupidest woman alive or is a card-carrying, certified member of the 3+0+4 club. And her husband is an idiot for EVER taking her back. The only positive thing you can say about taking Lily back is that the state of her face will probably preclude any future cheating. Personally, I never get to the point of worrying about whether or not a past cheater will cheat again. Once is always enough for me.
I can verify your words with my friends experience. He forgave his wife and then she cheated again and framed him domestic violance with her lover. Laws are made for cheating 304s
