  • In this video I use the Kubota BX23s and BT603 backhoe to pull 4 massive stumps out of the ground.
    What did you do "On The Land"
    Head over to our new Facebook page and upload a picture of what you did this week, and I'll feature it at the end of my videos.

      I agree Steve! So amazing. I wished I got a cab but other than that, it is perfect for my needs.

    It was a perfect example what the machine can do. We’re always learning on these! Enjoy it!!

    Great job!
    I wouldn’t bury it there. As stump rots, it will create a void in the ground and will sink in.

      That's a good point, I will move it eventually, or just toss more dirt on it when it does. But yes I should have moved it. Thank you for watching

    the whole time you were wrestling trying to get the stump out of the hole, i was thinking... "wrap a chain around that and lift it out with the loader"

    • @RossOnTheLand
      @RossOnTheLand  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thank you, I shall do that next time. I don't have a chain at all yet, but it's in my list to get. Thank you for watching.

    Watching this video makes me happy i ordered the b2601 instead of the bx23s. Im impressed with the power of that little tractor tho

    You had it up in the air a few times! I'm sure you could have gotten it out.

    • @RossOnTheLand
      @RossOnTheLand  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Alan, I was able to move it around, but had been struggling without a chain on hand to pull it out, yes if I were to do it again, I would have taken it out. Cheers and thanks for watching and commenting.

    You are a pretty good BX operator, you know the curl is the best way to get the most pulling power. Try using a battery powered sawsall on roots in lieu of the chain saw, works great and wont dull the chain. I wish you would of hooked a chain an pulled it out, I wouldnt of given up and buried it, that is defeat my friend. Cheers

    • @RossOnTheLand
      @RossOnTheLand  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Ya I agree with the sawzall for sure. Too much dirt for my chainsaw. Funny story, I don't own any chain and only had light duty ratchet straps... I do consider it a fail I didn't get it out. 😭 Haha. Have a good weekend.

    Looks like you have some good dirt up there. Quite the hole you had to dig.

      Yes we do, except where my house is, that's a pile of rock. The builder obviously brought in giant rocks as fill around the house.

    Great video, but I really think you should have removed that stump instead of burying it. As it rots, you'll get both a sink hole and an ant infestation....Great video though...

    • @RossOnTheLand
      @RossOnTheLand  หลายเดือนก่อน

      In hind sight I definitely should have. I think the ants have already started. They are tenacious! Thank you for watching and commenting. Happy New Year

    Bolt or weld a hook on the front of the bucket wrap a strap around it... put it in Low and drag it out

    • @RossOnTheLand
      @RossOnTheLand  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      That is definitely on my list of things to modify on my tractor. Thank You for watching.

    To get rid of big stumps, drill big holes 1/2 inch or bigger, deep as possible and saturate with kerosene. Cover for the night and saturate the next day. light it up on the third day. The stump is dead, so it'll be dry. Never bury a stump because when they rot they will leave a hole in your yard.

    That machine is a toy for kids to play with in a sandy yard. Would never pay 20,000 plus. I rather save more money or take a small loan and buy a real backhoe. Those machines are over priced. This machine brand new should not cost more than 16,000.
