Lotor was a great character, I loved him because he was so charismatic and beautiful, but don’t misinterpret this as I will support ever choice he makes. Lotor was a really bad dude, he had chances to change but ended up following the path of power through any means possible. I mean, he killed a lot of Alteans.
But I still like his face.
(I HATE THAT ARMOUR THO. It’s beautiful, yes, but so painful to draw)

Season 6...destroyed me
It was bound to happen. He was ALWAYS meant to be the bad guy. *lol* ever since his original incarnation in the original Voltron series from decades ago, him returning to the darkside again HAD to happen again.
It was kinda predictable, he always seemed to be on the grey zone but had some serious hate towards his own family(which kinda branched out to involve billions of others), it was just a matter of time before he gave in to his own hate.
Also living with hate your entire life makes one lack compassion, especially when your own goal is in sight
I saw another animation for this song, where Shiro was the bad guy.

I was so shook at the end, because like, I thought Lotor was onna smirk, and so I timed a creepy smile to do myself, just for the giggles, and then he went all amped on quintessence face, scaring the quiznack outta me.

Oooh! This is one of the best Ready As I'll Ever Be animatics I've seen! Excellent character choices, honestly, those are what make these things work. Plus the expressions and use of flash animation to accentuate the stills was top notch!
