I learned my lesson with Peugeots twenty years ago when the private hire company I drove for had a fleet of three 806 people carriers. They all suffered catastrophic cam belt pulley disintegration at around 80,000 miles destroying the engines. I haven't touched a Peugeot since.
Unfortunately, we don't always have all the information, I was convinced things had moved on and these manufactuers had improved their quality. I was definitely wrong though 😕
@@cleaningservices101 there is a reason they are so cheap. TBF, I’ve seen Sprinters, VW’s and Transits absolutely falling apart after 3 years. In fact, I don’t think there is a single manufacturer out there that can build a good van. If we could get the Japanese to build some galvanised stuff we might have a chance of actually designing a reliable van. At the moment, it just doesn’t exist. Every single one of them have some stupid annoying issue that you just have to accept. The French and Italians are as bad as it gets but I’d also argue the Germans have lost it completely. I don’t know why people think they are reliable either. Money pits made of plastic and cheese
@NoelG-IRE Amen to that 🙏 essentially that was my thinking when we bought these, Transits with wet belts going wrong left right and centre. Therefore, I tried these but never again want rid ASAP
@cleaningservices101 Pug purchased Vauxhall so all their stuff is just a Pug with different badge. FYI, in case u thought about going Toyota, they don't make vans so get Pug to do it. And with VW vans now being made by Ford the options are even smaller.
@R1chardH the same as so many others, same vehicle different badge! I knew about VW & Ford which is why we switched from Caddy's, didn't see the justification in the cost. Didn't know about Toyota though

Honestly I always stayed away from Peugeots & Citroën but was convinced things had changed, how wrong I was! it's been horrendous for the business
Certainly pits me off Peugeot vans for life...Thanks Lee for another great insight in to your life and buisness....
You're welcome, glad you enjoyed the video.
I don’t understand why people still buy French and Italian vehicles. It’s like burning money.

@@cleaningservices101 as a wise man once said, you only learn from your mistakes. Chin up, move on. Keep positive.
@NoelG-IRE Absolutely 💯 we push on
Made by Micky mouse and it's Disney chums. My mate works for them an always says don't by Pug, don't buy Vauxhall.
Interesting, you say don't buy Vauxhall either? not a lot or choice out there now when it comes to quality!
