Appreciate the video and detailed description of how you have the RVR rigged! I'm currently considering both of these yaks, would love to hear your feedback on each of them as well as a comparison between the two. Do you still use the SS127 after getting the RVR119? What differences are there in how you have them set up? Do you strictly use the RVR for rivers and the SS for flat water? How do they each perform in flat water, slow and fast water? Thanks!

@CrushGravel thanks for the comment. I absolutely run both yaks.
      For lakes ss127 clear winner
For rivers I lean rvr but the ss127 puts up a great fight.
The ss127 is significantly more comfortable for me for long days on the water. It also more stable. I currently use my truck bed to load the kayaks and that through hull storage for rods in the ss127 is a huge convenience. The ss127 is not as agile as the rvr and it's not close. If I had another complaint about the ss127 is the lines for the anchors are exposed and tend to be messy and get caught up.
The rvr Is much more agile. I find it's fairly stable and okay on comfort but it's not on the level of the ss127. The through hull anchor lines is a huge benefit and functions really really well. It makes the Kayak feel well layed out and bigger than it is. It's also nice knowing If I do flip it, the anchor lines are safe and tucked away from snagging my foot/arm. The rvr is much easier to get in and out of than the ss127. And sometimes in a river boat you are doing that alot.
I though the rvr would feel lighter and easier to move /load on the truck but it's really not a considerable difference. Also. I don't find the skeg on the rvr useful. Just my opinion.
If I had to pick one believe it or not I go ss127. And I fish rivers 90% of the time.
Do I wish I had my rvr in the faster moving water sections? Sure but the all day comfort, extra storage space, and stability just is hard to pass up.
I think both are great kayaks and i run both with a torqeedo 1103. I don't regret either but I still think the ss127 is the best kayak bonafide has ever made.
