Bless you. I was trying to find the center of a circle and also four corner points of a square within that circle. I made a mess trying. Now I can do it.
Seen so many of these videos where "content creators" copy each other without thinking. Dude, place the top of the right angle anywhere on the circle, like you did. The two points where the angle arms intersect the circle form a diameter - connect them. Repeat it from a different starting point. The intersection of the two diameters is your centre of the circle. Basic geometry.

The chord method will find the center with only 2 chords needed
Oh cool I didn’t know that
Am I the only one who came here just because was trying to find the center of a pizza and then cut it? 😅
@@Gabriel_Bento possibly lol
Well this saves the time and effort of measuring the distance around the the circle and dividing by 2π or π
Ya it’s much better
Was making some 40K objective templates by hand, and needed this method to figure out the center of a 40mm base. Perfect. Thanks!
Thanks I’m glad it worked out for u
Exact?
@@LockBits-ts6eo technically yes . The most accurate of the three methods is using chords

@@DavidsDiyReviews Yes, lots of geometry and math in quilt making. As you woodworkers do, we also "measure twice and cut once."
@@carryekearns2454 cut it twice and it’s still to short lol
Genius
i know right lol
