🍁🍂🍁I absolutely love this 13nights serie and all your contents. I love to learn and my practice constantly changes with me. We need to be authentic with ourselves first, and then with this crazy world. I always had and felt a deeper connection with trees and animals, and a kind of “too much efforts” with human beings.. I would love to see you and hear you with a video on animals Spirits and animals guides ❤
🍂🍁🍂🍁 Deep dive on your thoughts or feelings/beliefs in areas of your practice. I love hearing your point of view on different things. Thank you for all your time and attention you put into your videos.
🍁🍀🍂🍁🍀🍂🍁🍀🍂 I so admire and honor the connections you’ve forged with nature! At 64, I’m just beginning my witchcraft journey so I’ve been asking my ancestors to help me connect more with nature. I’m a recovering Mormon and that’s what got me doing genealogy and coming across those in the branches of my family tree who I was fascinated with and I’d like to get to know. Now, thru methods of divination, I can do just that. I’ve acquired a considerable witchcraft library covering many topics; I tend to be interested in way more than I can possibly take on at once. I’m trying to set myself up with a sort of curriculum, say my top three interests, that I focus on studying. As someone who expresses best in writing, naturally I also struggle with picking up the pen and putting it to paper. I realize I could keep an electronic journal but I know there’s no such thing as real privacy and if we’re without power for any length of time, there goes my journal. Besides, I really like the feeling of putting pen to paper and the way the page feels when I turn it. I recently found a journal from 33 years ago and it was a blast to see how much I’d changed and grown since then. Thank you again dear Häxa 💕⚡️💞🎃👻💀
Oh my gosh! I love a paper journal. I have been unable to switch over to this electronic journal thing. I like looking at my old journals and seeing who I was. I know what you mean. I have a book problem. But I do study things regularly.
Yes I am doing shadow work right now, self care, I’m doing some deep cleaning of my self from the past year and looking into my soul. Then I will get ready for the Yule season new year and making plans of what I want for next spring, summer. There are times that I do shadow work during the summer months also. I do belong to a group but love to learn from others to see what they do and share some of mine ideas also. We live on a large farm also and enjoy nature, long walks and keeping in touch with others of the same love of the same. 🍁🍂
🍁🍁🍁 I love everything about this season. Its like, finally there is time for me! Time to go into the darkness and see what I can find in there for myself. I love decorating for fall, cooking, doing my yogapractises in peace and quiet and cozying up with a book or just like this: watching there inspirational videos you make
🍁 🍂 Thank you for this series - I am six months out (being in the Southern Hemisphere) but enjoy listening in and subconsciously gathering ideas and thoughts for when our Samhain comes around. I’m so very sorry for your loss. The past 15 or so years seem to have been tumultuous for many - I too have experienced a number of challenging changes and personal losses. It has been a difficult path. Blessings 🧡
🍂🍁🍂🍁🍂🍁🍂Such a meaningful video. I love the rock tumbler analogy because I’m with you there! Even in the season that I love it also brings forth a lot of reflection and feeling of sadness or heartache and it’s difficult to wade through for sure. I’m hoping to come out shiny as well! As far as videos, these are awesome!
I also feel that same feeling of diving deep into old wounds. I lost my mother suddenly in 2001 on Samhain. This is honestly the first year I feel called to examine that more deeply and incorporate it into the fabric of my explorations through the dark season. And I’m ready to welcome that. At 53 I am the age she was when she died and it has brought up a lot of thoughts of self examination and who do I want to be as I accept my role as matriarch of my own little family thank you for opening up the space to think about these issues and to know I do not explore them alone 🍁
Wow😢 you lost your mother very young. My heart goes out to you. It’s like pealing an onion ,isn’t it? The grief and examination in layers. I’m glad my share helps you feel less alone. If you haven’t lost your mom, you just can’t understand. Hugs to you as you discover yourself in ways this year.
@@naturalwitchery thank you. I lost her just a few months ago before I became a mom and it was shocking to talk to her and tell her about my baby’s first Halloween and then hear from my dad the next morning that she had passed unexpectedly in her sleep. I had a dream must be 16 years ago now that I remember vividly and it was my mother on a bus with a lot of other souls and she wanted to stop by to give me a message. I was so freaked out that I asked that she not visit me again that way. I only recently started talking to her and apologized for that and told her I was open to her if she ever wanted to visit my dreams again
Actually, that’s exactly what this tag is done for me. It’s really helped me to sift through my thoughts and figure out how I feel about these things. I’ve never really put them into words.
🍁Your rock tumbler analogy resonated for me. Here's to a shiny spiritual new year! My first, and I'm giddy🫶 This year is about learning to be present with my ancestors. Thanks for stirring my thinker🍂
🍁🍂I am fortunate to have lived the last 40 years in a culture that celebrates Dia de los Muertos to the fullest. As a chld I loved Halloween and so did my kids but this celebration is by far the most spiritual thing I've been a part of. Not only are ancestors and honored dead celebrated, they are sought after for their wisdom and guidence. An incredible experience...and so fun! I have used both celebrations to do shadow work but honestly, this whole year has been devoted to that. Not that I am compaining. But it is a glorious time of year to be alive and I am grateful to be able to celebrate.
I feel Latin cultures also VALUE their elders. It is something sorely missing in a lot of USA. HOW WONDERFUL to have grown up steeped in such amazing traditions!!!! Fortunate indeed 🥰
@@naturalwitchery i came into this culture as an adult (I’m 71!) so it was a delightful addition to my own traditions. And yes, elders are respected and listened to!
Really enjoying your thoughts and reflections around Samhain, thank you and Bright Blessing. ❤❤❤ Can’t find any different emojis on the tablet which is new to me.
I'm sorry for your loss of your mother. It is extremely hard I understand I lost my Momma in March 2020 to dementia and colon cancer. And Christmas 🎄 is hard because her birthday was the day after Christmas 🎄 bit I try my best to make it festive in her honor and memory because she loved Christmas 🎄 ❤️ 💕
🍂🍂🍂 I love your personal stories. This is my favorite part of your channel. Hearing what these parts of the year have shapeshifted us and what they have evolved to mean to us over time.
I would love to hear about the transition from evangelical Protestantism to witchcraft/paganism went for you! I have gone from new age to baptist to Catholic to witch 🧙♀️ it’s kind of a lot. ❤ I’d love to hear your story if you wanted to share it.
@@naturalwitchery so kind of you to offer that. Please know that there is no rush or requirement if it doesn’t feel like the time ♥️ I’m very much still in it and know that it continues to unfold before me and to speak to it now would be likely premature on my part. I live in a very small conservative community that I grew up in so I’m sure things like that give it a more unfinished flavor. Thanks so much for your response 🥰
This time of year is difficult for me. My dad passed Oct 27th, 2018.🍃🍁🍂🌿 I'm sorry for your loss. Shadow time comes up right now whether I want to deal with it or not. My reading (last night) was self-love, self-worth related and releasing the toxic treatment from my childhood. It has a tendency to rear it's ugly head during this time. 'Surgery' is definitely what I'm trying to figure out. How do you do surgery to extract a poison? It's been 57 years and I'm looking for the antidote to the poison (toxin) infiltrated my childhood, my soul. I signed up for your class and an looking forward to it. 🧡🎃 Thank you, April for sharing.
I look forever to getting together. I know our group will be amazing. My dad died 10 days ago. We were estranged. I’ve had some amazing healing moments and I am hoping that it will release the toxicity (as you speak of) from my childhood as well.
Great thoughts here. Thanks for sharing. Yes this is definitely shadow work season for me, but just the start of shadow work season. Ending around the spring equinox for me
I agree. Samhain is the magickal new year when all magick gets reset. Then come January is the Gregorian new year. After that comes the official new year in March. 🍂🍂🍂
A gift technique was brought to me to help with shadow work. When remembering difficult situations in life, see your continuum of life and let your current self do spells on your past self, to heal all pain. Then look to your future self to help your current self, ask for blessings and help in all things. I have healed so many hurtful memories by letting my current self reach into past and tell myself, "I am here and have always been here protecting you"🌿🌿🍁🍁
Thank you. So many great thoughts and new ways of thinking about things. Lots of good stuff to absorb and incorporate. Also trying to juggle a season that incorporates both loss and large celebrations. Sometimes it feels like being pulled in opposite directions. Thank you again for sharing you.
🍂🍁Thank you for sharing what this season means to you. I am at the beginning of my journey and your videos have given me a lot to think about as to how I want to celebrate and grow my own power .
It’s my book of Goddesses. I have a book devoted to the study and connection with goddesses. A growing compendium that I’ll share in a video at some time.
I'm afraid of looking into the shadows, I see shapes of people, can't see faces but I can tell if it's female or masculine by the energy. I had a really bad experience many, many years ago, and I try to avoid connecting to that part of me because they want me to cross them over and I don't know how to help them. I had a psychic reading done and was told that my (woman) ancestors had been helpers to that realm, but that it was fading and now I don't know what to do. Have you had such an experience?
Doing personal shadow work is different than psychopomp. Our personal shadow has to do with soundings that we carry form this life and past lives. It is possible that your ancestors (who reside in you because of your blood ties) have things they hope you will free your family line from. It is also possible that you are sensitive to spirits and you saw that long ago. This is a very big and complex question that would need a deep talk to go into. I have just shared a very small amount of ideas about this.
Thanks for your reoly. I still see spirits however they aren't agressive as when I was younger, but I do think I'm ready now, the age I am, to finally consider looking into this matter. I realize this is quite a big task for me, not really sure how to go about it, but something is telling me to go into it. Any book recommendations to guide me? Or maybe your liminal course would help?❤
