Got the same engine on my Toro and I must say that filter situation is got to be worst! Comparing it to my 22Hp Briggs Twin and 22 HP Kohler 7000 they never seem to be as dirty as the Kawasaki especially after 2-3 cuts.

My father in law had a John deer with a Kawasaki engine that wouldn’t start. My brother in law worked on it and replaced what he called a “computer” for $300. It ended up being the key switch. What is he talking about “computer” ? It’s not EFi, it has a carburetor and is very old.
I didn’t expect the clicking to be that easy of a fix. Nice repair and service!
