I’m glad your channel was recommended to me. 😁 I’m here in the Central Valley in California and we rarely get rain, we’ll, most of California gets a lot of rain! Lol.. Just a lot of snow in our California mountains in the Winter..I’m two hours from the Pacific Ocean, and two hours from our local mountains. I have three huge tall pine trees, my gardener is here every Monday and he does a really good job but have the pine trees, that’s a lot of maintenance on each. During the week, we do our own cleaning up if needed and a new backyard patio, with a new patio cover with a ceiling fan if I want to sit outside in the shade and keep cool with the ceiling fan and I love my new patio furniture! If you ever come to California, we’ll bbq for you! 😁🩷

I'm so glad you had help with those old leaves. I know how heavy piles of old partially composted leaves can be. The whole yard turned out so nice. Great job and nice of you to save the rhinoceros beetles too.
My dad was in the USAF and was ordered to Germany from 1952-1954. I spent second, third and fourth grade with my family in Munich. We lived in a flat downtown. I remember my time there fondly. We spent a summer vacation at Chiemsee, so beautiful! And of course Oktoberfest was always great fun. My sister and I dressed as cowgirls for Kinderfasching and won third prize in the costume contest. I even managed to learn a little German!

A magnificent rhinoceros beetle! I have various scarabs in my yard. I actually have dung beetles - if I don't pick up after my dog immediately, they show up! I do a combination of picking up right away and leaving it for a day for the beetles. They're fascinating to watch. I can't help but think if the Egyptians and the beetle rolling the sun across the sky. The first time I saw them after I moved here and got my dogs (had 2 then), I was so excited I took photos to send to my daughter, also a student of the ancient Egyptians. I had to laugh at the idea of anyone getting hold of my phone, looking at my pictures and finding pics of dog poo! 😂😂
this is one of the most magnificent videos. totally enjoyable. you took it from a place of aged vegetation to a splendid area with life again. where Mother Natures birds, crawling things, and four footed animals can find enjoyment also. it was back breaking hauling all that debris away but the fulfillment of seeing how your hard labor turned out is wonderful. i am sure the school enjoys what you have done over the weeks. i especially enjoy the various areas of recording while you were working. prayers for much success in life and business.

Very hard work indeed 💚 The grass gave you a problem being so wet. But you made it beautiful nevertheless . I've said it before. You are strong 💪🏼. Hard to believe you guys did that all by hand. The school obviously has room, so a project in composting run by a group of students would benefit everyone. It wouldn't cost much, and it could even reduce food scraps for the school. Your mower looked like a jetski with that grass coming out the back. 😊
This was the most labor intensive video I've ever seen. You two men had to work SO hard to complete this job. I felt so bad for both of you that I had tears in my eyes through most of this video. You did an incredible job, as always....but I'm sure this was probably the hardest one you ever had to do. Congratulations to you both, for just surviving this brutal job. Well done!!!!
Thank you very much, yes there was a lot of work to do and it was done over a period of several months, also a lot of trailers were taken out and often had to work in the rain which made our work difficult. But I am glad that you like the result of the work done!

What a great transformation! I understand the problems when mowing tall 'wet' grass. The University Landscape crew I worked with before retirement ended up using a vegetable oil cooking spray aerosol to coat the underside of a clean-dry mowing deck before approaching such thick, juicy turf. It worked pretty well. It also made post-mowing equipment cleanup a breeze. Your project vlogs are often amazing. You seem to take on the big-messy jobs. Or, at least, those are the ones you post. Hahaha Cheers.
Thank you very much for watching the video and commenting, you are right the spray is very handy, but as I noticed over time when the bottom of the mower becomes not very flat because of rocks and other things, the Spray is not much help, I used to use it too, but not anymore. But when I buy a new mower I will definitely use the spray again.

Wow! What a marathon of a job! Good gracious, somebody wasn't doing his job in any respect. And shame on whoever was supposed to be overseeing the work. Any kind of rodents, etc could have taken up residence and possibly bitten one of the children. At the very least, if one of the kids wandered back in there, they could have injured themselves by falling over branches or building materials. Now that you've been there, no danger of any of that! You brought new life to that schoolyard! After you and your reinforcement cleared out that mess (or leaves and glorious compost, depending upon your viewpoint), the grass you planted was absolutely thriving! It won't be any time at all before it knits into the turf of the established lawn and that line disappears, making it one big lawn! I thoroughly enjoyed the series of clips showing the progress of the growth of the grass! You always manage to capture the most interesting angles and include some clips simply because they're beautiful. Like the closeup of the vines on the tree and the burl with the delicate roots or shoots of the vine in this video. You have the heart of an artist. I never remember to check community posts and was sorry to see you had badly hurt your hand. I hope it's feeling better and healing uneventfully and fully. Such a bad spot for the work you do! Maybe they make a glove with some padding there? Or maybe you could add a bit of padding to gloves you have for when you first return? Looking forward to hearing your thumb is better! 🌿💚🌿
