In this lesson, learn how to play Howlin' Wolf's classic, "Smokestack Lighnin'" - with the guitar being played by Hubert Sumlin. This works on either electric or acoustic.
You say this is simple, but I think it's a GREAT exercise to get your hands working with your brain. May use this to warm up from now on!

Nice lesson. I like how you indicate where the bass note is played in relationship to the slide on the G string, and the other riff notes.

Howling Wolf's original version starts with the G on the one in the bar. Most people who covered the song play it like you do, but check out the original.

I think it's a Telecaster, but I think a Les Paul would be slightly better for this type of music :)
