she's the little old lady from Pasedina and she's giving out good vibrations with her rocket launcher, which destroy bad things that's how strong the good vibrations are.
@Gamer_Aviator Right lol which makes me wonder if this event was kinda directed more towards the female player base I mean there's very little in the way of "girly" in 76, sure it's a post apocalypse RPG but it wouldn't hurt to have something a bit more I guess pretty and colorful lol I ain't complaining we got a giant bee covered in flowers as a boss like enemy and a stepping stone towards more of skyline valley becoming filled out and hopefully in the near future we get more of the map opened up that whole left section of the map is ripe for content. I expect nothing I'm not that kinda person but I'm very hopeful of many different things to come in 2025.
@ they already have the spore plant atomic shop item, and the strangler heart so the foundation is there. I have high hopes something like that is possible
I can see that the flowers are only 5 caps if sold… hm… well, guess we can do some Aerith cosplaying in 76 with the flower selling… **gets stabbed through by a sword**
At 3:25 you said "more than just alternative sources for nuked flora". That sentence would lead me to believe youre saying that this event somehow yields you raw flux but i dont hear you mention anything like that in the video. What did you mean by that sentence?
I’m just imagining what else the flowers might be used for. They follow the same color scheme as other flora, so maybe if we nuke the site they’ll do something interesting. It seems like a lot of effort just to have them as flowers you can plant in your camp. Since you can’t consume them now, they prob won’t be nukable either.
That granny is clearly a 4 channer, no fucks given! XP looooooooool But I'm a plant maniac so you KNOW I'm gonna have to try and figure out what plants these flowers came from. As for the overgrown, I give about 90% odds that they're the product of parasitism. Fallout 76 has a lot of things you could consider parasitized and at least two mutated plant parasites that I've counted. Cordyceps is not the only fungus that attacks insects. There's one that grows in my apartment that attacks flies. The fly attaches itself to the kitchen cabinet, dies, and the fungus busts the segments of its body apart and scatters spores on the other flies. And since its hard to cultivate, I just let it do its thing because it helps control pests in my apartment. Even the scorched plague can be considered a parasite if you think about it. If you're wondering, the other two parasitic plants I've identified in Fallout 76 are Rafflesia and Dodder. Rafflesia are all over the community center in Atlantic City, and Dodder mutated to become the strangler vines growing all over the mire. Bathesda didn't reskin floaters, supermutants and ferals for no reason. The overgrown were once ferals, floaters and supermutants. Something is causing plants and possibly fungus to hybridize with each other in appalacia, and then turned them parasitic, something that's beyond my pay grade as an amateur horticulturalist. I'm guessing it has something to do with the malfunctioning GECK that created the Mire. It could be that somewhere near AC there is ALSO a malfunctioning GECK. But it could also be that the plants and creatures of the Mire are spreading North, remember a lot of the creatures in the Mire are also found in Far Harbor in Fallout 4. And they look exactly like their counterparts in Appalacia. I think if Bathesda planned the gulpers or any of the other far harbor creatures to be from the west coast, they'd resemble the Axlotl gulper from the Fallout TV show. And yeah, there's a lot Bathesda doesn't think through, but they're very good at using visual clues as lore. So a change in skins (or lack thereof) is probably indicative of biology shenanigans somewhere along the line. And to prove to you that Bathesda does do this, there ARE examples across the games of visuals being used to tell you something about the environment an animal is in. The most notable ones are deathclaws and cats of all things, as well as rad rabbits and rad chickens. If you look at Fallout 3 and New Vegas, the deathclaws are taller and skinnier than four and seventy six. What's the difference? More open spaces and in the case of New Vegas, lots of hot weather. There's plenty of room for Deathclaws to spread out and bake in the sun. However, there are no cats in 3 or New vegas. Why? I chalk it up to the same factor, lack of space, but also a lack of things to hunt. The smallest radroach is the same size as the housecat model. How is a cat supposed to hunt THAT? Oh I'm sure they could eat bloatfly larvae, those are about the same as a large rat. But that would require risking getting shot by a bloatfly larva. If they can avoid it, low to mid rank predators DO NOT take risks. So its too easy to be eaten and there isn't enough to eat in the Mojave. My guess is that in the Commonwealth and Far Harbor they're eating carrion. The beaches are FULL of it. Dead fish and whales as far as the eye can see. As long as they avoid the mirelurks (which seem to home in on vibration) the cats could get a free meal. Contrast Appalacia, the Commonwealth and Far Harbor. The spaces are smaller (including tall trees and buildings in two of those places) and then in Far Harbor its almost totally dark most of the day in parts of the Island. And what do you see? Smaller more muscular deathclaws able to climb or slide down slopes, and small animals like cats, radchickens and rad rabbits. By the time you get to Far Harbor, there's hardley any deathclaws at all. The environment rewards certain factors and penalizes others. The smaller animals can't survive in an open area with big predators.

She probably used second hand fertilizer from Atlantic City and it had spores in it. :D
They need to add an irradiated Bigfoot and strangler loch Ness cryptids
Hell yeah!
They missed the opportunity to call the boss Beezlebug
Beezlebug is good!
...and the opportunity to make the boss slightly challenging.
I think it's cool. I hope the ghoul update brings a ton of gore carnage and raider looking stuff.

All for it good addition! Please just make the flowers do something and not be more unnecessary weight I gotta check for.
So far the flower pot flowers appear decorative, but we're also waiting on the full reward list. Fingers crossed for some cool carnivorous plants.

Is this gonna be a constant public event or seasonal?
It arrives in the spring, but it could be regular. There’s nothing about it that ties it to the season.

I was so close to erasing Midsommar from my memory.
I considered filming a scene where I jump from a cliff and break my legs…but I just couldn’t re-enact that and do its horror justice.
