It’s been about a minute, says hungry guy Attila 😋😂 That upside down museum looked like so much fun!!! I’m liking Georgetown so far, love all the art in the streets as well 💙
Great video A&Z..😀👍 Love to see you guys enjoyed while in Georgetown Penang. Good historical places..good foods with the price in two currencies displayed on the screen as well 😁👍 Nice drone shots. The beautiful fire station is as old as my late grandfather's..since 1909. The video and pictures taken in the upside down muzeum was just perfect in the mask..👌😷
If u guys like spicy food, then do try nasi kandar, rice n variety of curry dishes, it's very famous in Penang. There's also a museum on d history of nasi kandar n also on d streets food in Penang. Check out d herbs garden if u guys have more ample time. If u want to see a good vlog on nasi kandar, check out this channel, food n footprints, Greg n Jumi, they were in Malaysia during d lockdown in 2020.
We will watch their video 😊 We did try a lot of different foods in Penang (off camera) and everything we tried was absolutely delicious! Thank you for your suggestion Yasin.
Discovered your channel a bit late, but just giving some suggestions in case you guys are planning to come back to Penang in the future. When it comes to street food in Georgetown it's a bit tricky because all the recommended street food stalls are not all in the same area unless you go to a hawker centre/food court where you can find most of the street food in one place. Another alternative for street food experience in Penang, you guys should visit the jelutong area especially in Perak road (nearby fire station) and jelutong road (jelutong town). You could find roadside hawker stalls and eateries along the stretch of both roads, offering local Penang street fares. All within walking distance so it would be convenient for those who prefer to find local Penang fare within an area.
The best thing about your videos is that you provide almost all the location specific information that maybe needed by the tourists, be it the selection of sites, choice of food, do's and don'ts. I m watching all your videos and I m following you on instagram too for a comprehensive view of the things to make the best out of my forthcoming Malaysia trip 2nd week of next month Thank you so much
If you want to find the best local food ask locals...like that person did. The liquid ie the broth is made by boiling seafood and letting it simmer longer for maximun flavour. You should try the Char Kueh Tiaw there. When eating cendol, you have to mix everything so that the palm sugar below sweetens the shaved ice and the coconut milk. There a food museum also where you can learn more about Malaysian food and take instagramable pictures.
Wow cool vlog A&Z. Of course, when in Malaysia -- just talk to the locals; not only for directions but just general chit chat. You'll find them doing more to help you out.
The locals here in Malaysia have been incredible nice, accommodating and helpful, so that’s definitely a great tip. Thank you for watching and your wonderful comments 🙏🏼 ♥️ 🇲🇾

Wow.. Hokkien mee. I love Penang Hokkien mee. Watching your video in Newmarket, Ontario. I came from Penang living in Newmarket. Will be visiting Penang soon.
You can skip other stuff but the bucket list is the assam laksa. It is the bucket list for food (worldwide) after a visit at kek lok si, you should visit the market nearby where the great assam laksa is sold.
That guy that explained everything to you is basically how most northern Malaysians are. They are the nicest people. Enjoy Penang! It’s definitely is one of the most interesting and quirkiest place in South East Asia.
There's a food court at Esplanade or local called padang kota near fort conwallis..street food at chulia street, and gurney drive but they will only open in the evening after 4pm
Very nice take on Penang guys! Hope you guys had a blast.... Just a note, right outside your hotel on Queen Street is the BEST nasi dalcha you can eat in Penang! Rahim Nasi Dalcha is excellent, it is rice cooked with spices and ghee, and served with different fragrant curries, vegetables and fried chicken. I hope you had a chance to try it, no need to walk very far for good food in Little India. And the corner of the next street, King Street, you will find the best samosas on Earth... try the freshly fried egg samosas as a really great snack! (The Google map address isn't accurate and puts it on Queen Street but it is actually on the next street, Kind Street).
We went to a couple different restaurants very close to our hotel and tried lots of incredible food. We even ended up returning to one of the restaurants multiple times. Definitely some incredible foods in Georgetown 😊
For a different experience of George Town, you could spend an hour or two at the old Protestant Cemetery. Established in 1786 it's probably the oldest Protestant burial ground in the Far East. It's a short walk from Eastern & Oriental Hotel itself a historic hotel in colonial style building started by the famous Armenian Sarkies Brothers in 1885.
Thumbs up Malaysian viewers and most of all to that guy who took d trouble to go thru' your notes and explained to u every single location where those foods are located at .... 👍

Nice Hokkien mee (prawn noodles) in Penang. Watching you guys on youtube now. Just a word of caution. When you get to Kuala Lumpur & you see Hokkien Mee, it is not the same Hokkien Mee as what you have eaten in Georgetown. The KL Hokkien Mee is wok fried thick noodles drenched in thick soy sauce so it looks dark fried noodles. Some fry it over charcoal stove which is the best way of cooking. Enjoy your trip in Penang. Try to find Moh Teng Peow shop for good Nyonya food.
We’re happy to hear you’re enjoying our videos Chia! Thank you so much for the tip about the Hokkien Mee 😊 We will have to try it in KL and compare it to the one we had in Penang to see how it is.
@@blackknightshark7732 but in Malaysia, once you post your trip around the country and ask for food recommendation, there will be many many responses. Hahaha. Malaysia has so many good food.
Hi A&Z, Hope you’re enjoying your time in Malaysia so far! As you may well notice by now, Malaysians are a food-obsessed lot 😂 Our national pride is defined by our food pride so much so that it becomes hotly debated topics in some spaces. I personally come from the Sarawak side of the country (in Borneo) and have travelled to Penang just for the food. You’ll find some suggestions along the way whenever you film yourselves having a meal. Malaysians will concern themselves with ‘telling’ you where to get the best. As it may all be new to you, please accept my modest interpretation of this ‘phenomenon’ as a way to prevent any misunderstanding and perception of displeasure or attempts to ‘dictate’ where you should or shouldnt eat. Malaysians are usually a friendly bunch - think of it as a parent who not only shows their love for you through feeding you but desperately hopes that you have the best version of it because then you’ll truly feel their love for you. This might sound like an odd take on it at firat. However, with time, I’m hoping that you’ll find it to be the most authentic and literal translation of family dynamics and love that all Malaysians carry. I look forward to following your journey. Safe travels!
