I don’t like the teddy bears and the rhinestones/dance moms custom’s really need to go. There’s something still very childish and it’s a little creepy. I think JoJo is extremely immature and doesn’t know what she’s doing. I’m trying to say this in the nicest way but I think she’s emotionally behind. I think her mother kept her stuck in this weird box where she wasn’t able to mature properly. Now, JoJo’s desperately trying to prove herself but she doesn’t know how to. But this isn't music I am streaming on the regular😭 I also feel like a lot of artists who went into their "bad girl" era discussed in their music the power of the industry and how they felt controlled by the labels, shows, etc. But Jojo talks positively about her past experiences as a child star. This relates to how you said she is copying what she's seen others do. I would also love to see Jojo sing live for more credibility as an artist.

I watched Dance Moms and Abby was horrible to her, she was made fun of all the time and put down. Now, she defends Abby and other problematic people. I honestly think she’s been so manipulated and groomed by the adults in her life. I don’t think she knows how to be a grown up so she is again imitating what she thinks a grown up or young rebellious adult is. I do think a lot of it is to get attention but I feel she’s being fed bad ideas by her team.

It’s just hard for me to enjoy the video because the lgbtq community already has so many prejudices against it (homophobia, predatory behaviors, etc) and other lgbtq artists who make adult content are doing it in more tasteful ways in my opinion. I also don’t like a lot of claims she’s made about being a lgbtq artist because those have existed for decades. But Jojo can do whatever she wants. I think she is a great business women if that’s her goal; but I would love to see her have a deeper meaningful impact on the lgbtq community since she’s such a known figure and star. The song also was not relatable for me and other lgbtq music I listen to is a better fit for me. But any artist can do what they want, we are not entitled for them to create any sort of work as an audience. This was my reaction✨
