    Obviously South Africa have Am and a plethora of class centres. But it is mental to think he could have been called up for South Africa (assuming he had lived in SA all the three years)

    • @Karma-qt4ji
      @Karma-qt4ji 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      He could have been but we never would have used him. Consider the calibre of Madosh Tambwe, not even considered for the Boks because he does not have a SA passport. Same would have applied with Huw - he might have lived here for the residency period, but he does not have SA citizenship.
      Edit: Also overlooking the fact that Scotland were watering at the mouth at the prospect of having this kind of talent at their disposal and not needing to pay for it...

    Loved the interview.🙌 One thing though, should have edited Huw Jones at 00:29 with a different colour outline or positioned it more to the right (in the shadow) so it could've been more readable.👀 The white T-shirt really through a spanner in the works.😂

    Getting Huw back in a Scotland shirt will be great! He's got great skills and pace for any of the back 5 positions, but what I really want to see is him in a centre pairing with Chris Harris. Huw's slick attacking skills paired with Chris's defensive skills is something that must be tried out.

    Great player, would like to see him doing well again in Scottish Rugby. When he was at Glasgow the first time round they had an abundance of centres and Dave Rennie never really favoured him. This time round I think he stands a really good chance of starting regularly. A fit Chris Harris will always take the 13 jersey for Scotland due to organising the defence but if Huw turned himself into more of a 12 play maker role, I think they would be a great pairing.

    So SA must groom European players?
    I personally am grateful he is not in the SA setup. Like Van der walt and schoeman whobare playing worse than for their SA franchisees.
    Let them go to Scotland etc... we have so much players of color that out plays them. Huge talent.
    Dont understand why people talk about average rugby players. He has the talent of high school kids
