Incredibly underrated. Ignorant fans of the game don’t realize HE is often the reason McDavid racks up the points that he does when they do play together (which was less often than people think).
He allows Mcdavid to play better 10000%. It’s like Steph Curry and Klay Thompson, they UNLOCK each others game

Maybe the best player of the world but not with the breathtaking skills McDavid has. He is nearly by every Oilers goal on the ice, McDavid not..... That tells me the hole story about the quality of Oilers hockey. And if a season comes in his crunch time, in the playoffs he becomes better and better! That also shows his class! The Oilers lost in the last two years against the champion - that wasn't Draisaitls mistakes, he played excellent in the playoffs. The Vegas Nights realized after game one that he is the key for the Oilers game and did all to take him out of the game. So they won.

Great offensive player. Really bad on the defensive side of the puck. 4 goals in a single playoff game. That's awesome. Can you show the parts of that same game where he was on the ice for six goals against??? I will take an ALL-ROUND player over a 100 ft player any day!

@@joeydamisfit 2nd best offensive player maybe. But not close the 2nd best ALL-ROUND player. And neither is the other guy! Both of them will not win you a cup. I would say the MVP on that team is Evander Kane! The Oilers were good in the beginning of the season. Kane goes down with injury. The Oilers even with those two goal scorers are fighting to stay in a wild card spot in March. Kane comes back and the Oilers end up contending for 1st in the west. Before Kane's return McDavid with all those points was a +2 at his highest. Kane returns and McDavid ends up a +22 all because of an ALL-ROUND player in Kane.
I would say the Oilers do not make the playoffs without Kane. We can go back further to 21-22 season. The Oilers were not in a playoff spot before they signed Kane. They end up going to the third round after a beer league Battle of Alberta.

@@joeydamisfit He is the best OFFENSIVE player. No question about that. he is Not the best ALL-ROUND player. He is not good on the defensive side of the puck. He is often out of position defensively looking for that next rush up ice. Watching as a former player and coach you can see things an average fan would not see.

Well of course they both benefit from playing with one another on the power play, but I think Draisaitl would put up 100+ points on any team.

And in the end Powerplaisaitl got humbled by Vegas. He went full on ghost mode when it mattered the most and he couldn't suck off the refs feet with McNuggie to get Powerplays. But the Cup is coming to Deadmonton, right?! 🤣🤣🤣🤡🤡💙🧡💙🛢

Drai ist 1st oa in goals over the last 5 years and 2. in points behind only MacDavid and u think he is just a powerplay merchant? He might not be always the best defensivly , but is also trusted at 3-5 situations by his coach regulary, so in my eyes his defence is good but sadly not consistent at 5-5, I give u that. And yeah, he dissapeared in the last 4 games against Vegas but without him the oilers wouldnt have eliminated the kings either in 22 or 23.
