Don't ever again want to hear how Matthews is better after these playoffs. Matthews is only good for the regular season. Draisaitl consistently shows up in the playoffs every year and brings his all and even outplays McDavid. Draisaitl has shown that he was built for playoffs since he first made the playoffs with the Oilers in 2017. Matthews has been consistently mediocre come playoffs. There is no discussion to be had here. 69 goals in the regular season, but 13 goals in his last 35 playoff games. Draisaitl has 21 goals in his last 24 playoff games.

If the Oilers took Tkachuk over Puljujarvi, they would probably already have a cup. What has Matthews done? Score 69 goals in the regular season? Great. Can he do it in the playoffs? Not from what I have seen. Matthews is a goal scorer with 1 goal in his last 10 playoff games. Matthews has 23 goals in 55 TOTAL playoff games after soring 48 goals in 52 games in the regular season this year. Draisaitl has 23 goals in his last 30 playoff games. Matthews is overrated. I would take a player built for the playoffs like Tkachuk or Draisaitl any day over Matthews
