The added water does not magically turn into protein, carbohydrates, etc. It's just water. It doesn't directly yield more weight. What that much water mostly does is to fill up the birds, making them eat less total dry matter, which equals less growth rate. Calculate your FCR(dry matter) to know this. Pre-digesting feed/fermentation however, is a different matter.

Dear my Brother, I think the water has adhesive properties in nature. So this properties make all the powder form of the feeding ingredients stick together and able the chickens to pick once all type of ingredient. That make them to grow faster and minimize wastage.
