We hope all of you enjoying our videos !!
Your videos are not only educational but also entertaining. It's the perfect balance!
I just learnt 3 ways of planning your chicken house (brooder, grower & breeding), such a clarity and ease of management. I will be implementing in 2023. From Botswana I say thank you.
ke ta opa azola(kan aga tweng) mo go wena.
That's my take away too. Let me know if you happen to find a zola😅
Key nugget. Zimbabwe's on it
You are one of the best small scale farmers in the world. Thank you for sharing your knowledge!
greetings kabayan
I want to learn more. Do you have another video? Thank you so much
The peaceful vibe of this video is unmatched. Farming is truly an art, and you’re a master at it
@@Natures.Bounty thank you bro.
Very impressive operation! It's so nice to see people treating animals (that will finally be eaten) not like a product but like creatures. Mixing their food by hand and feeding them in person. Your birds have the life of a rich man's horse! Thank your for making such a difference!
Chickens have become pretty disgusting to me - - seeing how the food industry raises, feeds, treats and processes them. That goes for most animals that do not only live in the wild. Watching your video makes me feel very comfortable in putting more meat on the table, only pasture raised in general, but especially chicken. For the last year I've only been eating pasture raised eggs. Last week I finally found a trusted supplier for pasture raised chicken and my first order is arriving this Wednesday. It's airfryed pasture raised chicken drumsticks for Thanksgiving.
wow !! I like it
wow that's good for community.
yeah, but chickens live for 7 years and give eggs for 3-4. as a vegan I would be more okay with using chickens for eggs, and for their hard effort letting them live, so basically vegetarian.
these chickens are probably slaughtered when the chickens are only a few weeks old.
it looks lovely though, for the time they do have because their heads get chopped off.
@@vegan-rising Why does a vegan cross the street? To tell some stranger that they are vegan. 🤣
@@vegan-rising Imaging basing your entire personality on veganism that is so cringe. "veganism rising" stfu 🤓🤓🤓🤓🤓
I built a hen house for one thousand laying hens,I get them at fourteen weeks .regulating tell us how much space for each bird, I insulated the house, raised the floor three feet so the chicken droppings drop down ,the hens are on strong mesh, also vents for air, feeders and drinkers suspended, I have rool away nest boxes, the eggs roll out to the back of box to a walking passage, this keeps the eggs clean, also so easy to collect the eggs onto trays,I have a step up for the hens into boxes, there made with a hinge at both sides so I close them up for night time this keeps the hens from nesting in them at night and not getting dirty.I line the nest box with a thin type plastic, the eggs Roll onto trays at back.I also have light on a timer for winter, hens need around fourteen hours light to stay in full production. I also have an automatic floor sweeper to clean out the droppings to a bit, didn't have that for years, it saves time and labour.rodents can be a problem, if you don't follow guides for prevention. I open the hatches early morning ,and have steps down to the grass, i have eight ft high fence around an acre, which is set in cement at the bottom to keep out predators. I have no other birds in there or no male, as i market the eggs and they stay fresher, also it can avoide different problems. I have two other large housing units, total five thousand, some point of lay, some full production, others end of production. I farm geese and ducks for christmas market all in separate housing, this works for me ,i live in Ireland, we get all the seasons in one day sometimes, Good luck to you in your farming, and all you do☘
Amazing thanks for letting us know about it.God bless you too.
You are such an inspiration, Dexter. I love your positivity and love for animals. Greetings from a Spaniard living in England.

Your Channel is the reason why i got my own Rhode Island Red Chickens. Thank You for Sharing Sir Dex ❤️
Sir, is Rhode Island Red profitable on free system?
Hey, I am from Brazil and I work with broiler chicken, but at a large scale production company in a conventional manner. I liked your alternative feeding, especially because of the reducing costs. Here we can´t use the alternative feeding because of the large scale, but it is something to be researched. I am subscribed to your channel and I will follow your Free-range Chicken Farm because I think it is very interesting. Thank you for sharing your knowledge with us, I learned a lot with you.
Beacuse of you now I have around 100's chicken Rhode island red and black Australorp. I have a li'l koi pond and goldfish at home as well. God bLess sir dex.
What you feed the chicks
@@GamingStarslegends01 I feed the chick formula which is integra 1000.

What's is another term of azula?
@@virgilioalupit267 Amazon sells it. azolla is nitrogen fixing plant used for cattle feed, fish feed, poultry feed, pig feed etc. It is used to mix with feed or direct also can be supplied to your pets. Since it is a great nitrogen source it can be used for your plants as a good nitrogen fertilizer. Preparation of good compost it can be used.
Fantastic video. Please continue to inform and educate us. Keep up the good work. We appreciate learning from you Sir Dexter

Thank you again Sir Dex for sharing with us the basics and essentials in Free Range Farming. Brings back memories. We are hoping to see it soon in your new property. Kudos! 👏❤
Hello,
My name is Josephine
I am interested in free range type of business and the ezola production to reduce costs of feeding.
So what is ezola and where do I get the seedlings for that ?
Thanks once again for the information.
Nice design of the chicken run - I like the bamboo cladding. As for the corrugated sheeting, it is possible that the metal makes the place colder when it's cold outside and hotter when it's hot outside due to its high heat conductivity. You may want to try woven bamboo sheeting (if it's available) instead to reduce heat gain and heat loss.
We're your place now
I'm waant to start
Thank you for your knowledge and experience. It build my inspiration to renovate my farm like Dexters farm.
Merci beaucoup Monsieur pour cette vidéo de grande qualité. Merci aussi pour votre énergie positive
Step by step build for ur chicken houses plz. They look affordable 👋
If your in the uk you have to keep you chickens birds in side because of bird flu 🙆♂️it just a way of kill off the farms why is it in the uk they are trying to make things in posable are birds are on lockdown did we not learn from covid keep your birds out in the fresh air or locked up in a dark barn this world lost the plot 🙆♂️
Hope Sir Dexter read your comment.
I want a step by step on how they build that chicken houses too :)

You are doing a great job. Huge source of inspiration. Thank you.
Love that Azola! Grow it in my guppy and gold fish ponds. Took a long time for my picky chickens to eat it. Now have to cover the ponds to keep the chickens out of them! 🤣
Thanks for sharing your knowledge. I have a few free range chickens at my backyard. I hope I will learn more
A great free-range chicken farm, there are many different types of chickens here
Amazing dexter, you really lighted me and inspired me to embrace the farming industry even more
So smart job seen here. Congratulations. Discipline and good technique is all we need.
I like your chicken farm. After watching this video, I am sure I am gonna be a successful poultry farmer in the coming years. This is an excellent video.
Good video. If u can tell something about:
1. Type of hen, it's egg ratio, vacination, how many grams food it takes.
2. Min & max temp for hen. ( at my place the temp goes upto 49centigrade in summer.
3. Time period by which a hen is matured for egg and meet.
Thanks
Thanks
I love your question ❓
You are so amazing and awesome infact you are the best in the world concerning livestock farming and it is so great by God's grace I will copy all your method to start my own livestock farming because it's simple and enjoying thanks for the knowledge God bless you. From Nigeria in Africa.
Thank you sir
There are tons of Nigerian students here in the Philippines especially those who are studying health sciences and medicine courses. They always say that Nigeria suffer from blackouts? Is it true? In the Philippines blackouts are rare, blackouts happen here only during storms or typhoons to prevent electric shock

You make farming simple and enjoyable. Thank you
greetings my friend
I've never heard of azola before but I'm very curious now. I'll be looking into this in great detail. Thank you my friend for the amazing content and suggestions!!
It's similar to "duck-weed" here in the US. It's spelled "Azolla" and it's a type of water fern. It's very nutritious and grows really fast. Duck weed is "Lemnoideae" which is more of a true plant. Both are very high in protein.
@@LegendHold1 thanks for your comment. I am seriously considering starting a egg farm.
@@LegendHold1 is Azolla sold in the usa.thanks for a reply.
thanks for sharing knowledge, what is this azola is it there in africa especially southern
Amazing video! Your tips on keeping poultry healthy are spot on. Can't wait to apply them to my own flock! [9:04]
Make the breeding boxes with side entry, it will help the chicken from breaking the eggs when they jump in from the top

Could you pls spell the name of the " green food ". What kind of Spirulina it is?

Congrats my son due to your videos I learnt slot about keeping goats and chicken so please tell me the kind of food you give chicks so as to grow well and healthier
Happy to see u again!
What is ASOLA - that green leave you mixed with the chicken food?
Those are Azolla (SN: Azolla pinnata) also commonly known as Mosquito ferns. Those are “aquatic” plants commonly use as aquarium floating plant or used as an alternative feed for koi fish, goldfish and other poultry animals. I don’t know tho if it is common in the U.S or in Europe since what I know is these Azolla aquatic plants commonly grow here in Asia particulary in Southeast Asian countries like Thailand, Philippines etc as well as Australia
that green Leaf not Leave...doh🙄
