I've watched a Fellini movie each day for the last three days. Starting with 'I Vitelloni' then 'La Strada' and now 'La Dolce Vita' all masterpieces and beautiful. and the only person online really consistently talking about these movies each time i've put them into youtube seems to be Scorsese. Strange
Scorcese knows the genius of Fellini for sure, he is a man who knows his art deeply, as Fellini did, the kind of films Fellini made cannot be fully appreciated without seeing them in the guarded times they were released in, John Lennon said of Rock and Roll "Before Elvis there was nothing", I'd say of Cinema "Before Fellini there was nothing".

He's a video of Terry Gilliam talking about 8 1/2 that's pretty cool. Scorsese's insights are great as well
Dont miss "il bidone"
@Der Pizzer that's cool : ) might get back into some spaghetti westerns soon
Five Oscar, 12 Nominations, 1 Festival Cannes
Martin, a real intellectual
Directors like Scorcese and Spielberg make cinema. Fellini was CINEMA.
Right on. DOLCE VITA inspired me to go to Rome. I still love the Nino Rota score and, of course, the film.
Great comments but strange this is in Gucci 😂
Because Gucci is Co-producer of "la Dolce Vita"
Where's that restoration? I want the physical release!!!
Nobody of american directors and actors speak about vittorio de Sica: he won 4 oscars but anyone remembers of him
Amen.
Thanks. I mean, really.
1959? It was released in 1960
Shot in 1959 but released in 1960 ;)
all true
It's easy to admire Fellini with big words, but can you analyze his films?
