Just found this video. I got my 2012 night rod special brand new. It has never left me stranded. It's a very fun back to ride. 0-60 3.2 stock numbers 125 horsepower. Great bikes in my opinion. Not so much a long haul typical harley type comfort if you can't ride long.
The vrod is a highly collectible motorcycle because of Willy G and the Porsche team that worked together and build the muscle bike of the century. And as time goes by they will go up in value. I truely believe that the motor company shot themselves in the foot when they decided not to make them anymore. That is one of my dream bikes that bike is bad to the bone I can't wait to sit on the new Street fighter that they plan on bringing to a dealer near you 👍
I am trying to find one to get me back in the Harley Family. I traded in 2017 Road Glide on a 2018 Goldwing DCT. I have always liked the VROD and the Night Rod has taken it to a whole new level.
I’m looking at a 2007 night ride with 11k. Idk much about these bikes. I had a 2019 scout bobber…..hopefully if I pull the trigger on the Harley I’m not making a mistake
For sure! I use to dismiss the vrod because I didn't dig the lines at first glance. But over time, I've come to appreciate the styling. And the ride is even better!
Truth be told I don't get into the scenes a whole lot so I couldn't say. I don't see tons of em out on the streets, but I haven't checked to see if there are any groups or clubs. That's a good question.
Lol. Right? Kind of crazy both have the same exhaust and same drop on the right side. The totes had some extras - windshield, original turn signals, stock exhaust, etc.

Performance-wise, I think the vrod takes the warrior (from what I've researched). Howerver, I still lean towards the warrior for overal comfort, handling, and fun factor. I didn't feel like I had to muscle the warrior around at all. The thing felt super nimble for a big muscle bike.
I found a V Muscle Roard with 7000 thousand km for 13.000 euro....14 grands I guess....what recommend....buy a second hand bike like this or bay a new one like Fat Boy or Breakout? Thanks a lot for your opinion...I'm new in this Harley Davidson bikes
Hmmm...I guess it depends how much the new ones cost. I would be leaning towards the new bike since the price difference probably isn't too far off and the new one will come with the warranty and all. If you could find one pre owned for around 7k, that would be a bit different. Plus, I'm a big fan of the new m8. You might even consider the new low rider s if you dig that style. Tough call for sure. Lol. Sorry I couldn't be of much help on that one.

@@deviantfabrications7172 I have no regrets, I couldn't ride my Night Rod nearly as long as the LRS. Both are great bike but the LRS was a better fit for me.
Hey Jon I have a quick question for ya. I test rod a 13 night rod last week. It was uncomfortably hot on my right leg at stops and even riding. Is this normal for even though they are liquid cooled? I have to think it was over heating as the air cooled bikes I rode had no issues.
I honestly haven't gotten out much on the vrods. Lol. Been too busy learning circle wheelies on the honda grom. Hahaha!But when I take the vrod out for short rides, it never disappoints.
For my personal bikes, they're all insured. For bikes I plan to buy/sell, I have a 30 day window. Beyond that 30 days, I have to put them on my plan to get coverage.

I'm of the train of thought that the vrod/nightrod was a middle finger to the Japanese at the time of it's release but harley davidson will never admit it. its a shame that they killed this bike.no younger folks would buy a harley atleast most of them and even if they did buy,it would have been a vrod/nightrod but its a shame harley stopped its production.probably the flagship and sexiest beast in harley davidson history.

I think I recall the exhaust being pretty dang hot. I believe that's how they are but may double check the forums...
