Very clever. One question: Why wouldn't you use a 1" fabric/vinyl to attach the 1" swivel hook to the band? Is there an advantage to using a smaller piece? it seems as if it would wobble with the narrower width .

Thanks! :) You can use a 1" piece of vinyl or fabric, definitely. I tried fabric first, but when I folded the fabric to hide the raw edges, it got really bulky. Specially when I inserted the fabric inside the band.
I used the waterproof canva because it matches with the rest of the bag, but you can use faux leather as well. The size to hold the swivel hook really can be any size, 1" is perfect! I used that little strip of waterproof canva because it's what I had handy 😆 But yeah! Good questions!! ❤️😊
