I work at Space Center and it is SO jarring to see how much has changed here since then, really fun to look back and see how the things I see and work with every day looked over a decade ago. That Space Shuttle out front is now sitting on top of a massive Boeing 747! Stop by again soon
Eh, Tookies is pretty mid. They and Stomps have been over-rated for years. Best burgers around in my opinion, Hyde Park double double burger, Delta blues brisket burger, and Miller's cafe.
Woop woop let's see what he shows in Kemah. I personally like the Thai restaurant and the UK Pub restaurant there but what are some other local spots in Kemah we should eat at? Don't say any of the chain restaurants cause we've all eaten at those lol.
What a great blast from the past! We'd love to see you back in Kemah to see what's new here. We've got great new restaurants to try out - from an authentic British pub/fish & chips restaurant to great Greek food with a southern flair at Bakkus Taverna. Some of the old favorites are here too. Tookie's has moved over the bridge and is just down the street from the fantastic T-Bone Toms. From burgers and mudbugs to steaks and an award-winning gastronomic expedition, Kemah is a foodie's paradise.
You should go to the little nice town of Sonora tx their is a super pretty cavern look it up their is a historical old jail that famous robber died in their is a nice old court house and a resort just outside of town you should check it out
@cwald3278 I understand where you're coming from, but these videos say in the title, such as this one Season 4, episode 1. Some are season 13. It's not that hard to deduce that some seasons are older than others, and then google it if curious enough like I did to see when it originally aired. It's not irresponsible to provide memories.
The description of this episode says it was recorded in 2014. So, some time after 2014. They offered Jimmy Walker's Sauce for dipping seafood. I remember Jimmy Walker's. A very nice spot we occasionally visited when I was a kid. I 7:51 think Landry's got its location Restaurants come and go. I have heard complaints about the dives that once stood on the Boardwalk site. They were OK but not worth tears Besides the occasional Storn clears things out...
I feel bad I have to say this, watching this on the phone and I accidentally hit the dislike button, but immediately corrected that... TH-cam should put the dislike button allllll the way to the right😂 Btw,how many fried 🦐 did you eat?👊
This channel is terrible about reposting old videos irresponsibly without checking if the businesses are still open. So beware and do your research or block this channel. I met a couple in Baytown asking me where a soul food place was he reposted a video about that had driven an hour and half from Beaumont to eat there only to find it not operating anymore and it hasn’t for years! They were really at a loss and ate a burger at Someburger out of sheer starvation at that point. The places in this video aren’t operating any longer either. Terribly rude and irresponsible to try to stay relevant posting old content rather than making new content and send people on wild goose chases. 😢
@@TheDaytripperall that doesn’t show less you click more on the description in the TH-cam app and if you are watching from the TH-cam app on Firestick or smart tv all you can see is the posting date, which appears recent, and title unless you dig in the menus so I can see where people get confused
Kemah suggestions for those looking for Current ones 7/13/24 Boardwalk, it’s Landry’s, not bad but chain. Go instead to the vibe - Kemah is laid back and casual and fun! Voodoo Hut! Delicious reasonably priced (cheap) food and fun themed drinks that actually have liquor in them. Get the shrimp steam pot $11.99 - 16 shrimp, potatoes, corn. Get the boudin egg rolls, add ranch - it’s homemade ranch, I could drink it, so good. Friendly bartenders, get the witch doctor or the zombie. Wings are good and pizza too. DJ Friday night, band most Sat nights. Walk over to the Palapa bar, drinks (not as good as Voodoo but ok) and live music. Still want some snacks, walk to Skallywags for wings and burgers and bloody Mary’s or ready for something sweet eat walk to Cool Cow creamery ice cream, locally made unique flavors, so good. Want more? Drive to Boondoggles for craft beers and IPA’s and the best Moscow mules, wood fired pizza with unique toppings like the Cajun- boudin and andouille sausage on homemade crust and the best ceviche around. Go next door for wine and cheese boards at the wine room. Finish at Tookies seafood with the broiled seafood platter, amazing grilled salmon, and Crab gratin! Ask for a side of red beans and rice, delicious! and sautéed spinach with lobster cream sauce(off the menu! But so good!) check my name in Google for reviews for more details and photos - not sponsored or influencer just a foodie
Hoagie Ranch has shut their doors. Thanks for the trip down memory lane.

I thought it was bland and the staff so rude from all these shows sending swarms of people their way.

You got that right. Kemah #1.
I get in a happy mood everytime that banjo kicks in
I also highly recommend Carlos' Beer Garden in Webster. Open air old ice-house bar and grill.
Sammy & Renee have been there over 20 yrs each.
Great area to visit. Also the Boardwalk is great.

Great Touring. Thank you…
Great vlog sir thanks keep them coming
Grew up in Houston and for the longest time thought Fountain Lake Cir. off 59 S was Kemah. These videos help, Houston is too big.
I remember when Kemah was just a smelly town of bait and seafood shops. But, it sure has changed
Great vlog!!!
imagine being the person responsible for dusting the Hogy Ranch!
What the heck. The Hoagie Ranch is permanently closed. Bubbas Shrimp Palace is permanently closed.
Enjoy watching your trips, wish those places featured closed would be flagged.
Next trip, Point Blank, Texas ?😎
Hilltop ice house. The BEST burgers. Omg. I remember as a kid we used to go there all the time. I wonder if it's still good
