I'm still convinced that not bringing a few SCVs with most armies is a big missed opportunity. I'm guessing the lack of autorepair in BW means that also "steals" APM away from other duties.
@@Mackinstyle I believe that pulling an SCV from mineral line costs mining time, and making an SCV specifically to go and repair army costs 50 minerals+ repair costs+ APM so while it would help and make the army stronger it could not be as helpful as it might seem and cost even more APM to make additional scvs, and tell them to go with your army

Yes. But broodling is just one target. And the most juicy target are immune. So you end up doing max 150 damage (400 on ultralisk but...When would that happen ?) on a single target. Storm is up to 110 on a zone. No unit immune. Irradiate is more than 250. Smaller zone. Only bio, but no escape. Both cost 75. So...a single Death sentence spell working on a reduced number of targets costing twice the price of those other two seems far too much in comparaison. 125 should be fine. Arguably 100 but no less IMHO.
@@Xlatoc still have to disagree the instant death no save no miss Psystorm can miss and you can Dodge Irradiate no dodge or save send it is an area of effect
Broodling can miss if you kill the queen before the "broodseed" hits. Yes, the timing is short. Such as the timig for dodging à Storm... Sorry did not get what you said about irradiate...
21:09 spawn broodling would be reduced to 125 energy cost, so if you have the energy upgrade of queens (250 total energy) every full-charged queen could kill 2 tanks in a row
I can't help but feel that it would be too strong to have a unit that can instant kill twice in a row hiding behind cliff ledges and high ground. It does feel unfair that Zerg get super screwed in the spell caster department though, maybe it wouldn't be so bad. I honestly think that broodlings shouldn't expire, it would help give Zerg something to apply endgame energy pressure to Protoss and Terran like they can do to Zerg.
@@nafetzerg is screwed in caster department?! Hello, did you maybe notice the defiler? A caster that in fact cam win the whole game for Zerg with his horrible cloud and uncurable plague for Protoss (and lets be honest, for Terran too because no one has time to heal it with medics).
Regarding the pre-order skin. If it was based on your game, all building would have the skin if you have it and won't have it if you don't. The other option is that it depends on the players and whether they have it. And it looks like this is the case. Flash just doesn't have it.
Love to see siege tanks not using theire siege mode all the time, which was suicidal against waves of ultralisks and zerglings or zealots drops. More of that!
@@Alouette_EXE Still better that and keep a few of them than lose all in two salvos from themselves. Besides they can kite and shoot faster than Dragoons (no animation etc.)
@@czolgistta The magic of siege tank is it is capable of killing 5 or more units before they die which happens most of the time because of its splash damage and that is the risk terran players are willing to take to make them efficient. Unlike being unsieged mode, they can mostly only kill 0-2 units before they die like dragons do. Sure they can be a tad better than dragoons because they can kite better but try 1v1 a unsieged siege tank vs a dragoon all +3, dragoon would win with half HP left. Also, factories are more expensive than gateways and they take longer to build with add-ons to make so using tanks without siege mode it's just really inefficient.
And yes if they got off 2 spawn broodlings with full energy it would break the game 100%. But I do have to agree on zergs not generally handling their queens well enough. There's no reason to lose them freely to goliaths or irradiates just because you're too lazy to move them back to safety.
I'm a complete noob, but how is muta + overlord not the go-to spidermine clearing crew for Zerg? Fast, impervious to ground attacks so it requires little attention/micro, semi cheap and quick to produce, seems perfect.
Nope queen is not the only spell caster that can cast 1 of their spells only once even with energy upgrade. You can't cast 2 recalls with arbiter energy upgrade. You can't cast 2 mind controls with dark archon energy upgrade and that's the thing to compare because just like spawn broodling, MC is an insta kill spell but unlike spawn broodling you get the unit for yourself so it doesn't just die. But then again queens fly and are faster. Also a queen being cheaper than a tank for instance killing 1 for 1 queen lost is cost efficient. I think the reason why queens tend to fail vs mech is that zergs tend to use them as last ditch effort in games that are already all but lost. Also maybe mass hydra would work better with queens than ultralisks. Anyway queen, good unit.
20:31 the dark swarms didnt do a lot there. Why not transport a defiler in an overlord then u dont need to make a lot of them and have decoy overlords with it?
I don’t think it will be overpowered for queens to be able to cast twice, remember u gotta cast them individually, and during clash it’s hard to do that.
Honestly, I think the devs balanced queens around ensnare, not broodling, and ensnare makes much more sense as a big worry in low-APM games as it utterly wrecks your already poor unit control. I still think ensnare is under utilized; if you can get the enemy out of position & run by (or split them up via the move speed debuff). Sadly the fact you only get 1 broodling means queens are a one trick pony; fire and forget. And so mobility vs snare strats are never really worth it, as queens remain one trick ponies. They shouldn't be though. They are solidly designed. Their design is just not conductive to finding out how to use them properly in high level play when the far superior defiler is RIGHT THERE
