This was cool. I did this with my Dad 20 years ago until we had a house fire and lost everything but now that I have the land I'm bringing back the farm so I can teach my boys how to live off the land and be self-sustaining. Great video thank you for sharing

Great job on the hutches. Can’t wait to see the new piggies. 🐖

Thanks, still no babies yet, but we are checking on her twice a day now. Should drop any day now!

In my experience you want just enough bedding for them to be comfortable at first. After the piggies are born you can add some more. They have a hard time navigating from the rear to the dinner plate when the bedding is real bulky.

I'm New to this and was brought two pigs a male and female and on Thanksgiving Day the sow had four piglets and I wasn't prepared and she laid on 3 and killed them. One survived but the momma didn't tend to it and I also didn't know I needed to remove the boar.Basically the pigs were dropped off on me and I was low on funds so I got up a lot of pallets and rushed to build a pen that don't look the best but it holds the pigs in.I tried separating the boat and he tried killing himself to get back in there with the sow.Im not sure how I can keep them apart because they been together since they were babies

The sows are not going to want to lay across the 4x4s being that close together. Never mind, I see you changed em.
