I was born in L.A. county and the closest i ever came to Catalina was going past it on a grey whale -watching excursion many years ago. That is a cool place to have grown up on, wow. I would be hanging out on the less crowded and more pristine side if i had my way, haha. Be careful around those bison, haha they are notoriously dangerous even though they look so peaceful from the car. Thanks you for sharing with us all the beauty of Catalina, it would be beautiful to live there, if you can afford to i guess....and don’t have to travel to the mainland every day for work.have a lovely week. What did you think of the Seacrest Inn? Would you stay there again, or try a different motel? Is it easy walking to the downtown area? I am planning a trip & that is 1 of the motels that I am looking at.
It was one of those affordable places we found that is conveniently near to all nice spots, location is in walking distance to everything. We just stayed there for a night and it was good & comfortable. You have rooftop access and can enjoy some nice views esp at night. :)

There are a lot of restaurants, food options there.. But It really depends with your dietary restrictions or what you prefer to eat.. Cooking your own yummy food is a good idea too 😍 I hope you & your family will have a fun and safe mini vacation there..
It really depends where you will stay, the food places and activities you will do. The place we stayed at (Seacrest inn) was about $120 per night at that time, cant really remember how much we spent for food lol.. and we rented the golf cart for 3 hrs for $100. Hope this helps.
