I had been thinking this since very early in these drafts. Isthere an obvious 1 and 2 and you have the 1 pick? Just "guess" wrong on the #2 guy to remove him from contention, then grab the 1. Now, I feel like it isn't a big issue with this crew, they all seem to keep it pretty honest and in the spirit of the game, but it's still good to have a rule for it
I like this category. But these guys clearly were not prepared at all for it😂 Missing out on Soriano in 2002, Tex 2009, Chris Davis 2013, Encarnacion 2016, and a few others
When Lucas said Semien was the second best second baseman Alfonso Soriano immediately popped in my mind. No clue on the right year but 2002 would be my guess.
The team I was able to pick after they all drafted: C Gary Sanchez 2017 - 250 1B Carlos Delgado 2000 - 378 2B Robinson Cano 2012 - 345 3B Evan Longoria 2016 - 330 SS Xander Bogaerts 2019 - 341 OF Curtis Granderson 2011 - 322 OF Jacoby Ellsbury 2011 - 364 OF Cedric Mullins 2021 - 312 DH J.D. Martinez 2018 - 358 Total = 3000 If I remove any of the revealed too answers, this team still wins with my two subs: 1B Delgado 00 for Teixeira 09 OF Ellsbury 11 for Smoak 17 Total = 2898
My Lineup C 2012 Matt Wieters - 229 1B 2009 Mark Teixeira - 344 2B 2009 Aaron Hill - 340 3B 2010 Adrian Beltre - 326 SS 2024 Gunner Henderson - 333 OF 2018 J.D Martinez - 358 OF 2003 Aubrey Huff - 353 OF 2012 Adam Jones - 327 DH - 2011 Adrian Gonzalez - 345 TOTAL - 2955 1st place
Lineup I thought of from players they didn't pick: C Adley 2023 1B Delgado 2000 2B Cano 2009 3B Devers 2019 SS Henderson 2024 OF Stanton 2018 OF Ellsbury 2011 OF Wells 2003 DH Longoria 2011
Looking at the best possible chart it's interesting how 7/9 of the best possible seasons per position are 2007 or earlier, only one 2011 and 2024 are outside that timeframe
C Sanchez 2017 250 1B Davis 2013 370 2B Pedroia 2008 322 3B Longoria 2009 307 SS Henderson 2024 333 OF Granderson 2011 322 OF Ellsbury 2011 364 OF Ramirez 2004 348 DH Gonzalez 2011 345 Easy lol can't believe they missed Ellsbury and Gunnar
I wish the the cutoff wasn’t at 2000 still, these videos have the same names over and over again now since they’ve done that cutoff for basically every video
Doesn’t the best draft need to have a Ray on there? Need to drop Big Papi for Aubrey Huff. Loses 10 TB and a HoFer for a guy most forgot played, but that would be the best lineup to include a player from every team
Thank god for the Shelfy rule. Too bad Jake is in the draft, since he couldn't name a single baseball player who has both retired and never played for the Yankees. Every Jake draft is exactly the same.
I think to add to the Shelfy rule, if you flush a player and have to take a pick at the end, you are not allowed to ask how many you need to win/make any particular place. Not sure that it made much difference here but it could in the future.
category drafts are the best content on this channel. thanks boys
Shelfy rule makes sense, there should be a penalty for burning a player.
Wait, aren't you the goat?
ZEEKS

NEW DRAFT CATEGORY
Shelfy Rule gonna change the game
Jolly forgot Delgado again 😂
The Manny Ramirez disrespect was insane lol
2018 J.D. Martinez not being taken is crazy
The shelfy rule should be if someone picks an invalid player year, they can no longer guess that player but others can.
I agree. Going last isn't penalty enough. Invalid year shouldn't flush the player for everyone
When Jake said Flopper McGuilicuty, I had to pause the video because I was dying lol. That's going to be my go to name from now on.

Love all the drafts you guys do! Still will never understand why total bases doesn’t count walks 😂
Neither do stolen bases, i guess the point of the stat is to purely represent bases achieved by getting hits. Still seems strange
total bases in Yerr Out counts walks, stolen bases, along with any other advance on the basepaths
love these category drafts!
RIP Sean Burroughs one of the coolest guys. He was super kind and loved ball
This might be your favorite series. Please do more!
2:49 Jake's soul dying because a Toronto Blue Jay was a good pick
Flopper M'Gillcudy
2015 donaldson is such a slept on season. Dude was a monster
Everybody forgets about Vernon Wells
When Lucas said Semien was the second best second baseman Alfonso Soriano immediately popped in my mind. No clue on the right year but 2002 would be my guess.
DO BATTING STRIKEOUTS
Joey Gallo would be a cheat code
They could do two versions, one where you try to get the strikeouts and one where you try to get the least strikeouts with most games played
Errors draft next!
Love this boys
Alfonso Soriano has to be the best 2B. I don't remember if it was 02' or 03' though.
Love the drafts. Total Bases is fun.
Really surprised nobody took 24 Gunner. Cano was also chalk
Jolly and a Mets Legend Delgado missed again
Ryan DO YOU EVEN KNOW the muffin man? Cmon guy
No space in his head for the Muffin Man, it's all Manny Machado instead
This is the best trio, hands down.
The team I was able to pick after they all drafted:
C Gary Sanchez 2017 - 250
1B Carlos Delgado 2000 - 378
2B Robinson Cano 2012 - 345
3B Evan Longoria 2016 - 330
SS Xander Bogaerts 2019 - 341

OF Jacoby Ellsbury 2011 - 364
OF Cedric Mullins 2021 - 312
DH J.D. Martinez 2018 - 358
Total = 3000
If I remove any of the revealed too answers, this team still wins with my two subs:
1B Delgado 00 for Teixeira 09
OF Ellsbury 11 for Smoak 17
Total = 2898
Jolly is a legend
“Mookie Betts, the podcaster?” Yup the podcaster that sent y’all home Jolly
LOVEE these videos
2024 Shohei Ohtani 411 total bases
My Lineup
C 2012 Matt Wieters - 229
1B 2009 Mark Teixeira - 344
2B 2009 Aaron Hill - 340

SS 2024 Gunner Henderson - 333

OF 2003 Aubrey Huff - 353
OF 2012 Adam Jones - 327
DH - 2011 Adrian Gonzalez - 345
TOTAL - 2955
1st place
Jake is essential
Jeets bases count extra because of the intangibles.
As a Rays fan, I was shouting 2003 Aubrey Huff. Also, surprised no one said 2016 Longoria.
i know i didn’t just hear jolly say 40 homeruns was 400 total bases
Was joking ya goof
Zobrist pick is so silly. Love these drafts
We need K's for hitters next
Jolly let’s get a Slugging % draft, think it would be great 👍
Bernabé Williams merchant 🤝 Jake Storiale
Gotta do postseason hits
Most individual awards draft. Drafting a team with the most combined MVP, CY, GG, Silver Slugger, LCS MVP and WS MVP awards.
Lineup I thought of from players they didn't pick:
C Adley 2023
1B Delgado 2000
2B Cano 2009
3B Devers 2019
SS Henderson 2024
OF Stanton 2018
OF Ellsbury 2011
OF Wells 2003
DH Longoria 2011
Great rule change with the Shelfy rule!
Shelfy rule makes 100% sense!
they were all so excited to take Ray's players even though they were the only team not represented on the best possible lineup sheet.
Looking at the best possible chart it's interesting how 7/9 of the best possible seasons per position are 2007 or earlier, only one 2011 and 2024 are outside that timeframe
C Sanchez 2017 250
1B Davis 2013 370
2B Pedroia 2008 322
3B Longoria 2009 307
SS Henderson 2024 333
OF Granderson 2011 322
OF Ellsbury 2011 364
OF Ramirez 2004 348
DH Gonzalez 2011 345
Easy lol can't believe they missed Ellsbury and Gunnar
Once again, 2000 Carlos Delgado goes undrafted
I know it’s be NL specific, but I’d love to see a hits/offensive WAR from pitchers draft. Or maybe that’s better as a scattegories category idk
Shocking victor. SHOCKING.
epic video!!!
No cano! Surprising
2013 Chris Davis is so slept on
Was screaming 2019 Devers and 2011 Ellsbury
Still hoping to see a holds draft at some point
I see that GeoGod Guys sweatshirt. Does this mean more Geoguessr soon?
Wake up babe, new draft category just dropped
No Robby cano at 2nd is kind of crazy lol
Maybe a 2020 draft only! All stats, only from the year 2020.
Why you at Rogers Center? … on Canada Day
Still waiting on the wild pitches draft (more = better obviously)
I feel the AL east should be known as the forgetting Carlos Delgado and Vernon Wells division.
Can’t believe no one took Robby cano 😵💫😵💫
Another category could be wins/saves in a season
I’m yelling Robinson Cano, someone better pick him
I’d love to see the part where they hear the best possible list
Errors draft next?
I wish the the cutoff wasn’t at 2000 still, these videos have the same names over and over again now since they’ve done that cutoff for basically every video
Jake missing Cano hurt my heart
No Edwin? Poor dude got overshadowed by Joey Bats.
What about a drs one next
Doesn’t the best draft need to have a Ray on there? Need to drop Big Papi for Aubrey Huff. Loses 10 TB and a HoFer for a guy most forgot played, but that would be the best lineup to include a player from every team
I really expected Cano from any year 2009-2013 Jake or even a 2019 Gleybar
Deadass
Damn not seeing anyone having 400+ TB on this list is quite strange
The shelfy rule should be if you guess an invalid year you get that players worst possible answer
Guarantee that every Twins fan knew the Logan Morrison year because he signed with Minnesota in '18 and suuuuuuucked.
HOLDS DRAFT WHEN
NGL i was expecting a WAR draft
I missed jake!!!!
2018 Miguel Andujar
There should be an Batting Avg Draft then u average the averages at the end
Suprised Robinson Cano didn’t get drafted.
Should walks and HBP have been included?
Thank god for the Shelfy rule.
Too bad Jake is in the draft, since he couldn't name a single baseball player who has both retired and never played for the Yankees. Every Jake draft is exactly the same.
LFG!!!
Thank fuck for the Shelfy rule, and confirmed they're reading the comments.
Best possible line-up doesn't have a Ray
How did the host keep messing up the Bernie years while looking at the page?
NL West is the next division
Ha poor shelfy
DRS draft next (nobody take Jeter)
batter HBP draft when?
Ryan's so handsome
How did no one take manny Ramirez
Chris Davis went way too late. Also, Gunnar Henderson this year would’ve been a solid recency merchant pick.
I think to add to the Shelfy rule, if you flush a player and have to take a pick at the end, you are not allowed to ask how many you need to win/make any particular place. Not sure that it made much difference here but it could in the future.
