Within next 2 years, Nepal will have infrastructures and basic domestic cricket events required to be a test Nation. If the senior team performs better, at least saves ODI status then Nepal deserves test status.
Simple answer is YES! 20 odd years ago when Bangladesh was given test status, everything was poor. Look at them now. So… no doubt Nepal deserves test status. For your infor, Australians didn’t have what today call world class group apart from SCG, going back 1990. So, a facilities and game will improve over the time.

As a Nepal cricket fan from the past 10 years, with Nepal's current preformance they should not be awarded test status. I mean look at their CWC performances none of their batsman are even in the top 20 run scores, Their highest wicket taker is a part timer. If they are awarded test status it will be a big slap of the faces of teams like USA and Canada, who have genuinely improved their game over the years.

Definitely in next 2-3 years Nepal will have a better infrastructure and first class and an established domestic structure.
As of right now nowhere near and infact I do not see any other team more deserving than dutch and scots.....like what have we even done to even think about getting a test status.... never beaten a test nation yet not played any of the odi worldcup not performed in any big ICC events....hardly one or two player has barely maintained avg of 30 in odis after so many international experience...this modern cricket demands quick adaptability and thinking which we lack...ability to change the plan right away according to situation no patience and grit in batsmen.....no proper pace department...and we are the team to always get hyped...we look so foolish! we want test cricket that fierce battle between bat and ball not just get bundled up inside 100 runs...even for the sake of cricket nepal does not deserve right now! Maybe after 2031wc if we qualify any of those than we can think about it but right now lets focus on dominating associate cricket! Sitting at no7 in table league2 and dreaming of test status thats stupidity!
