Okay, so one strategy I'm applying in the RB EA is to take a portion of the pre-closing range to place a trade and aim for 300 pips using the trailing stop option, without a set closing time. I'm achieving very good results with this method. However, during backtesting, I realized that a news filter is necessary for my usage. Please consider adding a news filter in the next update of the EA, allowing users to choose whether to use it or not. For me, in particular, I'm deactivating the EA on days with significant news events. Thanks again, René.
Hey René, Nice Video according to our last discussion of your last Video. Just a Short calculation: 18085 more net Profit divided by 237 more trades is 73 more Profit/trade. According to about 820 average Profit/Trade i think News slippage could easily eat the Profits made with News trading. What do you think about that?
Yes could definitely be true. Hard to tell really. Because sometimes you are in a trade also BEFORE the news happen. In this case there is only slippage when the trade is stopped out. So really really hard to tell. As I said in the video from my personal experience (but this is just a feeling!!) I would say I made more profit in the past on news days.
@ if im Right you have the Range breakout ea Running in your live Account? Maybe you could analyse all trades on News days made by the ea and compare the Profit/loss. Would be Great to know
