What bugs me is that Ellen kept playing the game even after Taylor repeatedly said stop. It's funny for a second, but then when people are done, you gotta stop. She could have easily said I'm just kidding, don't worry I'm not going to make you do that, reassured her, and maybe even talked about the negative effects of stereotyping her. She could have used the joke to help Taylor's situation and bring awareness to big issues like sexism and feminism and instead she used her joke to mock and beat Taylor with it. Not cool.

some of the worst examples of Ellen being horrible is the way she treated Taylor Swift. In my opinion one of the worst things she’s ever done is the “dating bell” thing where she shows these pictures of men and made Taylor ring the bell to the point where she sounds like she’s crying. Ellen made everything so awkward to every single celebrity she ever brought on that show. I feel like started a bit of the “serial dater” thing for Taylor swift cause she only ever said things about who she dated. It was not funny, it was rude.
