nothing like a freshly brewed cup of Joe before you start your day, at least that is what is the cliche says (a little dry humor); and I couldn't agree more. Very nifty hack - that'll work as described. One time I had to beat the sheeit out of a piece of metal to get it to oval, but in the end it worked. the last time I had to make one - I bowed to the Jura because I couldn't find my preform jura tool. I needed my Joe and had no time to mess around - I eventually went on line and bought one from eBay - by some company called newelectronx. i was getting tired of banging my thumb anyways. (again a little more dry humor). thanks for sharing the video
The metal Jura logo is just attached to the round plastic "lock". If you put two thumbs on the logo and turn, then you unlock the round plastic disc without taking the metal logo off.
Yup, this supposedly works. Still, mine was impossible to disengage manually. Hence why I had to use a screwdriver to rotate it. Seems to turn easily in the video but that's only because I've done it multiple times before.
I have the same problem with the ENA 3, can't get the side panel off. Followed directions in the video and like James did and hit it with the hammer and still the side panel remains in tact.

Thanks. I have Ena 5. Got as far as the bit where you hit it with a hammer but can't get side panel off. Anyone know it this is different?
Thank you so much for your video. Helped me a lot!
Brilliant, briliant!! Thank you so much!
