That was the beginning of our ending!! Tony yeboah was supposed to captain this team but abedi came at the last min and demanded the handband from tony, when they are actually in the tunnel and yeboah refused to give it to him!! That brought a faction in the team and most of the players who supported yeboah refused to pass the ball to those who supported abedi!! Am not taking anything from Germany, but Ghana deliberately gave away all the goals!! The same faction popped up when we played against Brazil when they beat us by 8-1!! This Ghana team was the greatest talent we have ever assembled but abedi greediness destroyed this great team!!
Just listen to yourself.Does it make sense for a team captain to claim his band just because he arrived late.We can only reclaim our glorious days only when we begin to think and act rationally.
Remember Ghana lost because Our German Coach substitute most of the regular stars to make it easy for Germany to win. Remember this match was played in Germany and there was no way they were going to loose to Ghana. The German coach for Ghana made it easy for his country. I remember he was later interviewed on their return and why all those substitutions and his excuse was, it was friendly match and there was the need to give the regular players some break because they have an African cup qualifying game within a week.
