    The 1st lesson i took for Swedish on Pimsleur was so good. A man on the plane getting there spoke to me, and i could understand him, i was so excited!!! (LOVE languages!)

      That is the best part, when you realize you can actually speak and understand :)

    Great comparison. I’ve never tried Memrise, but I really like Babbel so far. I’m learning French.

    Great idea to remake this comparison! Also it's good that you focus on a single language when comparing. The tough spot when choosing a service for studying an entirely new language from scratch is that you don't know the language well enough to know if the program is worth its salt. Many services are not consistent in quality level across all of the languages they includes.

    Great comparison 😊 I like using both apps for English & French and find that Memrise is a nice complement to Babbel. I particularly like the short videos by native speakers.

    What Language are you learning & why ?
    Spanish and American Sign Language (ASL). I began tasking Spanish and ASL in middle school and high school respectively. The Spanish language I feel is as common as English is in the workplace. While, ASL is uncommon to see in my day to day life I still come across ASL. To see the surprise on their face when I sign to them is everything.

    I want to learn Spanish, Korean and French! I learned French in school but it didn’t stick a lot other then remembering a few words. Spanish for future job opportunities. And Korean since I’m into the shows and music.

    Memrise sounds like it might be a fun addition if the vocab is really expansive.
    Let's see if I can win! Suggesting it to my old boss as a possible option.

    More of a question after watching the comparisons I'm left wondering: as an English speaker here in Mexico for a few weeks and very motivated, how many lessons would I be permitted to take a day? a week?

    • @TestPrepInsight
      @TestPrepInsight  10 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      There is no cap on lessons per day/week. You can take as many as you want. More than anything you just don't want to overload your brain in one day. I think a better idea would be combining multiple apps and working one lesson from each every day.
