this was a good show for the most part but why did aaron keep spoiling parts of jade legacy? why would i want to know anything about the third book? now we know who shae ends up with and other details thanks to her. all love to aaron but come on... this is supposed to be a readalong and it got really frustrating / annoying after a while that i stopped watching :/
😭😭😭😭Jade City and Jade War had been sitting on my shelf literally since 2020 and I randomly decided to pick up Jade City last Friday, read both of them and now I have to wait for Jade Legacy to arrive in the mail…i don’t even have audible credits to get the audiobook but I need to know what happens😭😭😭😭
and one thing that annoyed me is how we’re constantly told that Shae is like this fearsome greenbone warrior and she graduated at the top of her class beating out even Hilo but we’re rarely if ever shown it…aside from her dueling Ayt Mada. I just would’ve like to see her demonstrate her skill more often. And on top of that I totally did understand why she challenged Ayt Mada to the duel, it was a rash decision but it made sense. Ayt was leading this whole smear campaign against her, her honor and her reputation were being publicly discredited and people were already calling for her to be deposed from her position as Weatherman. And the only way for Shae to prove herself then was to demonstrate to the clan that she was willing to put down her life for the clan was the only way for her to really salvage her reputation. I have mixed feelings about Hilo. I know he’s a fan favorite but I honestly dislike him😭
