My god, the guitar and choir voices are amazing. I swear I could hear the fingers slide on the strings, and a child's cough in the choir, so realistic! Thanks for sharing 🤘
Indeed I played Tsjaikovsky's Songs from The Cherubim, no.1 using Choir voices. For the first time in Keyboard history the coices are very realistic My Music is on channel 'fmlk4u'
That first demo takes me back to a kid playing the underwater level in super Mario 64. I wasn't coming into this ready for a teary eyed nostalgia trip!
Man oh man this keyboard is absolutely AMAZING to say the least😍😍 I've always owned Korgs and I have the 88 key Kronos X right now but I have always loved Yamaha as well, but like everything else in life they both have very very strong and competitive features that they design specifically to try and out shine the opponent, which is why these keyboards are the way they are, but they also BOTH have just as many flaws as one another. Well after playing with the Genos for about 6 hours at the Guitar Center, I fell completely in love with this thing and it won my heart over. My friend who's the manager at guitar center said he'd make a deal with me and let me trade my Kronos in for the EXACT price he gave it to me for and then I'd just pay the remainder. So now I have NOOOOO idea what to do because I want this keyboard sooo so bad. And what if I get it and then Korg releases something even better😲😲😲OMG don't even talk like that😭😭 Whoever actually read this to this point😂😂 What would you do if you were me?? Please help🙏🙏
Dear Jon, You worry too much. You also mix two completely different types of equipment. First of all: The sound of the KORG Kronos is better than the Genos. It offers a lot more tonal variety and setting options. The Kronos is a synthesizer workstation. The GENOS is an arranger. It offers you the opportunity to play entire songs quickly and, above all, on your own without additional devices. It also offers numerous functions for keyboard players who play alone. I own the Korg, Kurzweil, Yamaha Montage and the Genos. Every instrument has its own charm. If you have to decide, do the following: Do you play in a live band? Then stay with your KRONOS, you will get better results with it. If you play alone or with styles / playbacks, the GENOS is the first choice. And leave out the topic of successor models, because there will ALWAYS be a newer model. But experience shows very clearly: Game changers are probably no longer coming. The KRONOS was KORG's last big hit, because it has all the sounds in one device. ROLAND's new Fantom is more for lovers and Yamaha's montage is just an improved motif, nothing more. And the GENOS is a better Tyros 5 - nothing more. There's also a reason KORG hasn't brought a PA5x in years. Maybe someone will come with Kronos' sound, but even if they did - would that be a reason to change? The technical possibilities of our current instruments are so high that I don't know anyone who can exhaust them - on the contrary: the more something like this can do, the less you make music ... Stick to the plan: LIVE = KRONOS ALONE = GENOS Hope I could help you :-) Thomas
Forget the keyboard.... the clincher here is the guy playing this thing. It could be any synth. Sounds are nice but no it's the player that's the star here. Peace ✌️ out
Euer Mr. Key.
The sound of the big workstations like Montage or Kronos is better than the Yamaha GENOS Sounds, much more fatter and more flexible. Just the styles are missing and the natural voices from the GENOS. If I were you I would buy the cheaper PSR-SX, because your KRONOS already hast the top sounds (if the keybe fits for you) - KRONOS is a great key
Okay Thomas I won't ask you for sheets. But all you guys who do demos -- you spend a lot of time setting up the sounds, queuing them up in your presets so you can tick them off one by one with the buttons in the front of the Genos. Maybe take another 15 minutes and connect your unit to a DAW and collect the MIDI data which we can convert to sheets, or convert it to sheets yourself. I'd actually *buy* that. It's always fun to learn some new chords and such.
Please launch Yamaha genos with 61 keys because first time I saw this keyboard I got inspiration and it brings lots of ideas please launch this keyboard please with 61 keys
Nice demo! You do not need Genos for it. Only the skill of a piano player. This is more of a piano demonstration on a Genos keyboard. But nevertheless nicely done!!
Thank you. Of course you are right: You can take every synthesizer for good quality sounds, but GENOS makes it much more comfortable to use AND you you the Arranger functions. in the future I will make more videos with styles. Genos is not the only solution for making music, but I love the easy to use interface plus a much more fatter and better sound that the older models had.
I love the song you did at the beginning with the chimes sound. Is it just yours composition or do you have the name of the original ? Great playing and demo
I will not ask for sheets, but a copy of that registry bank would be welcome.. to many great sounds in the `genos to remember where to find them. Great performance
Thank you, Thomas. The registrations are quite beautiful! I noticed one thing though: in Registration 10 in your rgt you linked via dropbox, the Right 1 and Right 2 parts are mapped to voices that are missing - somewhere on the user drive. I have Genos upgraded to latest firmware and have the Superior Pack installed, but still reg 10 has 2 missing links. Otherwise, looks great and sounds wonderful! Thanks!
Dear Thomas, I like your creativity, ( and your beautiful hands as well ;-) I am looking for a new keyboard but don't know what is the best choice between a Genos, a Montage or a MODX, please advice... X
Liesbeth, GENOS is a arranger workstation with styles - so you can play alone without a computer or a band. If you are not a professional keyboard player and you just want to use some sounds to play, than the MODX ist the best choice because of the really cheap price. The montage is the big brother of the MODX with more power, but for normal use too much. The GENOS is a fantastic Arranger for playing along alone. A MODX or a Montage ist much more powerful on sound programming. GENOS = If you want to play alone without a band or computer MODX = Great workstation with a lot of possibilities Montage = Professional Workstation I dont know good you can play or how deep you want to dive in technology - if you are more a beginner, maybe a PSR-S 975 is the better choice. If you want 76 keys and more sounds (and a better keybed) GENOS is the better instrument If you need more help, please write me an e-mail. You can find me on google with my name.

No discussion: You are absolutely right. In my opinion the GENOS IS too expensive - but for me there was no alternative Board. The MODX is a great SYNTHESIZER für a very good price. And the old songs, this is correct, too - but: In the last years there were not really a lot songs that are real hits or that you can play alone on an arranger keyboard at all. I can make some sound demos with newer music, if you like but they are still sound demos, so it ist not important if the songs are old oder newer :-)
@@ThomasMilonas i apologize... i did not mean to sound so harsh. i agree with you. i think the reason that so many good songs came out of the 70's, 80'sand 90's is partly due to the advent of electronics and computers. i guess most "sounds" have been "done" already.
